Advantages: guitar Disadvantages: none
...This is a good and cheap selection of some of the greatest blues musicians ever. The collection opens predictably with a muddy waters track (rollin’ stone) although probably not his best and then there appears the great elmore james performance on slide guitar in ‘dust my broom’ – a fantastically modern style of blues for the time. The j l hooker song is not ‘boom, boom’ thank god and the howlin’ wolf track ‘smokestack lightning’ features as track 9, this is a great song and I think once a budweiser advert song. There is a beautifully rough recording of memphisslim’s ‘guess I’m a fool’ towards the end which is for me the pick of the tracks. This is a solid album, nothing too new, but touches all the bases and is successful....

...Sheryl first came on to the music scene with her ‘clean cut cow girl’ image with a fine song that was a chart topper, ‘All I wanna do, is have some fun’.

The tracks are:
My Favourite Mistake
There Goes The Neighborhood
Riverwide
It Don't Hurt
Maybe That's Something
Am I Getting Through (Part I & II...

Advantages: Way Down Disadvantages: all of the rest
...came along anyway.
Still if you must carry on, we have He'll Have To Go, Pledging My Love, Moody Blue (another single from the album), and She Thinks I Still Care, all hideous country and western tunes with Elvis singing like he is reading the lyrics from a phone book . The last track, It's Easy For You, is a little better. But only a little.
If you must buy a late-period Elvis album, go for "From Memphis To Vegas" or "From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee"; both have much better songs and more importantly, better singing. Avoid this album like the plague....
