Album Notes: Debut album from London pop/R'n'B crossover quintet. Hailed as the proteges of successful label-mates Blue the band share a similar style to their 'mentors' in that they play radio friendly pop with a slightly husky modern R'n'B tinge. Vs. stand-out feature is their duelling male/female vocal style - in a similar fashion to acts such as Big Brovaz - and is best seen on their hit single from this album 'Call U Sexy'.

Advantages: Lyrically Superior, An intellictual style of rap Disadvantages: Production not great
...After putting this CD into my stereo and listening to the intro, i realised that I was in for a different kind of rap experience, and if you didn't know Canibus is the most lyrically underated rapper of all time. Tracks such as Alliie Meta Forces featuring Kool G Rap will blow your mind with a wide range of complex vocabulary with an intelligent play on words. The track of the album is Bis vs Rip, where Canibus battles from 2 personas battling each withint the same track (PURE GENIUS), other tracks to look out for are Poet Laureate, not to say any of the other tracks are inferior. This is one of those rare albums you can listen to from beginning to end and feel like you have jus listened to a masterpiece. Can-I-Bus ? U sure as hell can...

Gogol Review ofMulti Kontra Culti Vs. Irony - Gogol Bordelloby
ABirrell
Advantages: Everything Disadvantages: Nothing
...Multi Kontar Culti vs. Irony. You only have to hear the title to know that this album is truly spectacular. And that is exactly what it is. This album by Eugene Hutz (lead singer, guitar, firebuckets) and friends is absolutely explosive. The album has so many different genres of music tied up in one bundle. The first track, When the Trickster Starts A-Poking (Bordello Kind of Guy), starts the album of very nicely. An energetic song which i still don't understand most of the lyrics to. Other notable songs include, Baro Foro, Smarkach, and the instrumental Hats Off to Kolpakoff. This album is must have for anyone who has or hasn't heard of Gogol Bordello. And if you haven't you will soon....
