All My Best To You - Tramaine Hawkins

...This is one of my favorite bands and albums ever. If it wasn't for the Brit pop style, that has sometimes been compared to Queen, then there is the ultimate voice of Justin Hawkins taking each song up into never before heard octaves. Each song contains it's own personal 'feeling' or style to it and they generally sound upbeat and make you want to dance. One thing I love about it is that there are generally 2 awesome guitar solos in every song. This album inspired me to learn the guitar and remains my motivation. If you have ever heard about the atmosphere of one of Darkness' live concerts, then this album will bring to you about half of this atmosphere. As always, it's not all just fast pace hard rock as there is (as always in Darkness albums) a slower song at the end which is more easy listening.... Read review

....Other greats on this album are: · I believe in a thing called love ·Get your hands off my women (warning has explicit lyrics) ·Friday night. ·Love is only a feeling The rest of song on the album are pretty good as well and shows why The Darkness were awarded best album at this years Brits. Over all a very good album, yes they are like AC/DC and Queen, but does that really matter, no one is completely 100% original these days. What a breath of fresh air the Darkness are compared to the dance acts and boy bands that are around now. They remind me of my childhood when my mum and I would watch Queen videos on a Friday night. Justin Hawkins and the darkness prove that rock music will never die. (Hopefully!)... Read review

...In The Darkness we finally have a band worthy of the title 'Rockstar'. Their overblown theatrics, classic look and old-skool feel brings back a flood of memories...listening to Deep Puprle, Cream and stealing cigarettes. This album is definetely the best of the year if not since Nirvana's Nevermind. Although radio overplay of 'I believe in a thing called love' has now reached saturation levels it is still a brilliant song and Justin Hawkins almost uncomfortably pitched voice hits all the right notes. My personal favourite is 'Get your hands offa my woman'. Justin Hawkins recent radio comments suggesting he might buy 'southwold' also smacks of Spinal Tap, which makes it all the much better. Finally we have a singer with the daring to bring back jumpsuits and a guitarist whom places his trust in the mighty handlebar moustache. We can... Read review
