Advantages: Raw rock at its best. Disadvantages: None.
...'You want it - You got it' is a CD that consists of 10 very well written tracks. The CD was recorded in 1981 and portrays Bryan Adams in a more raw mood than his later releases. Even at such an early age the CD highlights what a talent the man is.
I like several tracks from the CD including, 'Lonely Nights', 'You want it - You got it', but myfavourite track is called 'Tonight'.
This CD is a must for any Bryan Adams fan as it indicates his talented path from a raw rock star to the more finished article he is today....

Advantages: Some excellent rock ballads are present on this album. Powerful vocals throughout. Disadvantages: Bryan Adams has recorded better albums than this.
...reminds me more of an Oasis release than a typical Bryan Adams number. It provides the perfect closure for the album, and whilst I listen to the track I can just imagine a sold out arena audience singing along at the tops of their voices to this one as it is played as an encore. It's a real crowd pleaser, Bryan Adams belts out the vocals for one final blast of musical excellence. He certainly saved the best till last here, much of the track sounds very Oasis and yet there is also the odd element of Chris Cornell thrown in also. Ultimately it's a Bryan Adams song, and yet all the best elements of various artists and bands seem to be chucked in to the mix as well. Bryan Adams may not be one of myfavourite artists in the world, but if every track he ever recorded was as good as this one then he certainly would be.
This may be Bryan Adams...

Advantages: Arty and S&M obsessed Disadvantages: Arty and S&M obsessed!
...Actually, it's "Dirk Wears White Sox".
A reference to Dirk Bogarde ( a hero of Adam's ), but not sure why or if he really does wear white socks??
Most people will only know this from the chant "Dirk Wears White Sox!!" on the song "Don't Be Square (Be There)" on Kings of the Wild Frontier.
The album is very Art-rock, sleazy, with S&M references, references to blow jobs (Cleopatra, was a "wide mouthed girl") and otherwise coming during the
punk era pretty offensive.
However, it is probably still myfavourite Ants album.
Pre all the warrior ant, red indian, zulu beat stuff of Kings. The Ants used to appear in bondage & perform songs such as "You're So Physical" and "Beat My Guest" - both not on this album.
Originally, Dirk was released by the original Ants line up Adam (vocals), Matthew Ashman (gtr), Andrew Warren (bass) & Dave Barbe...
