Album Reviews: Down Beat (4/91) - 4 Stars - Very Good - "Brown knows how to deliver a blues lyric with flair as well as feeling...Brown's piano work throughout is a study in boogie-woogie elegance...Suave and soulful, earthy and elegant, Charles Brown, at age 68, keeps on doing his thing."

Advantages: Ray Charles Greatest Hits ! Disadvantages: ?
...moaning rather than singing it, but as he knows how to do it, gets out a beautiful blues which makes your soul dance. Even though lets you a bitter-sweet taste, it is a pleasure to hear it over and over again. Drown in my own tears, was not written by Ray, Henry Glover is to blame for this smashing hit which was released in 1952 first time. But in 1956 Ray broke all the myths and brought out the very best of this song in his original way, and once again he had another No. 1! 10/10 (3:20)
9) "(Night time is) The right Time" - again another song that was not written by Ray. The song was originally done Nappy Brown in 1954 and was revised by Charles, who is helped in the song by lead Raelette Margie Hendricks. The sound of this song is almost the same since it starts till it ends…what makes you to pay attention to the song is the part where...

Advantages: Its Ray Charles Disadvantages: Its not the real Ray Charles
...Ray Charles, the man was a musical Genius of this there is no doubt at all. Genuis is a far too frequently used word these days with very few deserving of the accolade.
So Genius loves company, how does it measure up? Its a nice album of duets featuring the great man and some of todays other musicians.
It is a nice album with some very nice tracks but it doesn't give a good representation of Ray at his finest.
The best three tracks for my money were:
Here we go again - Featuring Norah Jones
It was a very good year - Featuring Willie Nelson
You don't know me - Featuring Diana Krall
Genius Love Company is definately worth owning if just for these three tracks.
If you would like to experience Ray Charles i would recommend that you purchase The Definitive Ray Charles double CD a much more complete picture of the man....

Advantages: Bonus Track Disadvantages: Not All Tracks
...on the album "Lottery" , and the most well known track "With You" with its amazing video featured on the highly popular music channels. This large selection of major and minor tracks don't just feature the wonderfull Chris Brown , they feature deuts with the likes of T - Pain , Kanye West and many more. Another advantage of this new album is the featured track "Fallen Angel" which is a favourite to many of you.
Disadvantages : A disadvantage os this product is that it doesn't feature all of Chris Brown's great songs. The all new song "Forever" is absent from the album , but there is a special "Forever" Edition of the album which features Chris Brown's newest song and Video footage shown on TV. There are also a few other tracks absent from this album featuring myall time Chris Brown favourite "Just Fine" with it's amazing lyrics came...
