Advantages: Great acoustic music
Disadvantages: some tracks are not how you know them

...I don't often listen to Radio 1, but this one time I did, they were playing only tracks recorded in the live lounge - And I Loved It. the songs were not remastered and you could hear the lyrics and music without all the extras that make some people buy their tracks. The copies by artists of other artists songs are of superb quality, and some really make it their own. When I listen to them I just love the fact that they are live recordings with no additionals. Its great that artists are comfortable with singing live, acoustic, and other peoples songs. By listening to the tracks you can tell which artists can sing and which artists definately need to remaster their tracks to sell their singles/albums. Or which need to lip synch for their live gigs. ...This is my favourite CD at the moment and I listen to it all the time. It was bought for me as a christmas present and I have hardly stopped listening to it since! If you have seen the film then the soundtrack reminds you of various parts of it. It has some excellent artists on it, and also a wide range of different types of music. I also like it because it has made me listen to tracks by artists that I would probably not choose to go out and buy normally, and I have liked what I have heard. After listening to this soundtrack, I would consider going out and buying albums of some of the artists featured.... Read review

Advantages: CONTAINS ALL SONGS FROM THE FILM
Disadvantages: WEAK BONUS TRACK

...If you enjoyed the film you'll love the CD. If you haven't seen the film and you're age 5 to 14 you'll probably still love it. It has all the main songs from the film, including both versions of You are the Music in Me by Troy & Gariella and Sharpay. The bonus track is weird but the 10 other songs justified the cost of the CD without worring about the bonus track. Very popular with all the girls at my daughters' primary school but unsure if it is as popular with older children. Despite that i have to admit that it is also very popular with their forty-two year old mother! An ideal Christmas present or stocking filler if they haven't got it already.... Read review
