...name – ‘My names Coby Dick / Mister Dick if you’re nasty. The track is about Papa Roach getting infesting your mind… it makes little sense, but these lyrics are compensated for later in the album. Nice guitar riffs, nice and fast.
Track Two - Last Resort: Released as a single, which made it onto the R1 playlist. All about suicide, which is pleasant. Simple but effective guitar, fits in well after the first track, and has a nice raspy vocal bit. Good track, nice to see they didn’t make the mistake of putting this one first just on the strength of its intro.
Track Three – Broken Home: My personal favorite. Coby Dick (Yeah, that wasn’t just a lyric) sings about his childhood, which wasn’t a pleasant one. Heartfelt, the guitar perfectly captures the emotion in the lyrics, going from quiet to loud...

Advantages: It's funny, fast and Blinks best ever album Disadvantages: There aren't any
...This is Blink 182's last independant label release and easily their best album. Every song on this album is a model of how pop punk should be. My personal favourites are 'Pathetic' and 'Dick lips'. 'Pathetic' is the first song on the album and is a perfect example of the super fast, super melodic songs that Blink are famed for, which appear in force on this release and will get you amped for extreme sports or a night out. 'Dick lips' is a slower song and is one of the more emotional on Dude ranch. The selection of songs is perfectly balanced with alot of very funny songs about, among other things, relationships with animals, aswell as some more serious ones. The speed of the tunes ranges from moderately slow to super sonic light speed (I think thats around about 100 billion miles a second- The drummer must get really tired...

A young Elton looking like Billy Bunter sitting at piano singing old country songs was never going to inspire anyone & he failed the audition. However, just before he left the building they presented him with the details of Bernie Taupin explaining that he had sent in poems/lyrics & that they could possible team up. Probably a kind way of saying 'don't call us, we'll call you'. Little did they realise the talent they had let go!!
Elton made contact with Bernie who travelled to London & stayed at Elton...
