To Wembley produced many highlights in the season that Chelseas FA Cup dream was achieved for the third time in their illustrious history. A hat-trick from Gustavo Poyet in the third round, a bruising encounter with Leicester in the fifth and who could forget Roberto Di Matteos second Wembley Cup Final goal.FA Cup Final 2000 Aston Villa v ChelseaAppearing in their third FA Cup Final in seven years, Chelsea were intent on repeating their success of 1997. In this, the last ever FA Cup Final to be played beneath the presence of the Twin Towers, it was truly a Blue day. Roberto Di Matteo proved to be Chelsea's Wembley Hero for the second time, when he rifled the ball home from two yards, but the image of the Chelsea skipper Dennis Wise and his newborn son receiving the trophy will go down in Wembley history.FA Charity Shield 2000 Chelsea v Manchester UnitedThe traditional curtain raiser to the domestic season offered FA Cup Winners Chelsea a chance to lock horns with the Premier League Champions Manchester United. Intent on sending out a message to the rest of the League, the Blues were once again throwing themselves into the hat for Championship contention. A goal in each half proved to be enough as Chelsea collected the trophy for the second time in their history.

Advantages: Excellent retelling of Roman history Disadvantages: Lashings of sex, violence and bad language
...a regular on the commentary tracks. Every scene is littered with historical detail, be it in the style of the buildings and streets, the food being eaten or the religious attitudes of the time and in their own way these are as interesting as the main stories. One of the features of watching this on DVD is 'AllRoadsLeadto Rome', by turning this on boxed text will pop up on the screen providing background information about what is happening in the story or what the characters are doing. At times this can be obtrusive, as the boxes can obscure the action, but they are very useful for second or third viewings and genuinely provide a good insight into the history being told or day to day Roman life. If they occasionally veer towards self congratulation this can be forgiven for the extra depth they give to the story.
Fun for all the family...

...sad, disturbing and beautifully acted, with both sides suffering losses, and it definitely rings true. The idea that both sides ignorance is what leadsto the conflict is one which is alarmingly true and serves as a final emotional low blow which makes the film far more scary and memorable than it should be.
In a purely action sense The Kingdom is a stunner; there are several beautifully staged car chases which embody the phrase high octane, a genuinely exciting rocket launcher ambush, a wicked shootout in a crowded village and a startling sequence involving a jeep spinning on its roof during a kidnapping. There is an epic explosion/bombing scene towards the beginning of the movie and a showdown between Jennifer Garner and a massive Saudi Arabian is one of the most spontaneous, thrilling and high-speed of all modern action flicks...

My Thoughts and Conclusion
The RoadTo Wigan Pier is an interesting book, a glimpse into the lives of the people living in Britain's industrial areas during the 1930s. It isn't always comfortable reading, cockroaches, dirt and social injustices never are pleasant after all!
I am glad I read the book and although it isn't the sort of book that I will necessarily re-read, I feel this piece of George Orwell's writing is worth...
