.... It will definately bring Lee many new fans. I actually have a few friends that were never fans of the boys but when i played this album to them, they went out and bought their own copy. Lee's vocals and song writing ability truly help this album shine and come to life. The inlay for this album has amazing pictures inside, with Lee looking absolutely gorgeous. Also has all lyrics.... ...After listening to Lisa-Lee Darks new album release "Breath of Life," at www.cdvmusic.com/lisalee/ I was astounded by the range and tone of her voice, which is so Similar to her great, great, great auntie Adelina Pattie ( World Famous opera singer). Lisa-Lee is sure to follow in her aunties footsteps, as one of the best British sopranos of the 21st Century. I was amazed how poppy sounding this album is. The Breath of Life album, features warm strings, heavenly choirs and ambient textures. 2 of the songs demonstrate a contemporary groove which cleverly support Lisas well crafted classical arrangements. Fortunately the album is straight ahead classical and has a Lord of the rings dreamy filmic angle to a couple of the arrangements. Over all the sound is unintrusive and easy on the ear and would be ideal for dinner parties... Read review

Advantages: If you like the Human League it's great
Disadvantages: So unoriginal

...influence, hear the crooning, hear the influence of Brian Wilson on the horns and the doo-wahs, but it still sounds like the Human League. On Easy it’s all there; funk yep got that, heard a little bit of soul there and there’s definitely something techno going on, but, wait a minute, doesn’t this sound like the Human League. Jacknife Lee is keen to distance himself from that other musical magpie Beck, there’s certainly some similarities with the little chap, but still… Say it once, say it twice, say it loud; sounding like the Human League isn’t a bad thing. Punk Rock High Roller is a fun, if not funny, album. Upbeat, quirky and terribly friendly, it makes a good listen. And besides, if Les Rythmes Digitales can make a career off the back of Nik Kershaw, then, I ask, why not?... Read review
