Advantages: Absolute standout classics Disadvantages: only enough room for 10 songs
Ok may have to sub a few.........
As I completely forgot All along the watchtower (Hendrix) / behind blue eyes (who) / rocket man (elton john) / HOTEL CALIFORNIA (The Eagles - how could I have left that out?!?!)
This is just too hard.....I'm rebelling against my own review, its impossible to have a top 10 songs of alltime list!!!
Let me just say this is one of the hardest reviews I have had to write. It is so difficult trying to pick the top 10 greatestsongs of alltime when there is so many to choose from.
Needless to say that although the ones I have chosen are classics there are probably many that I probably did'nt consider through pure accident. However I have formulated a list which I am going to put in ALPHABETICAL ORDER of title rather than a RANKING system as that would just be too dificult a task. I have also ...
Advantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs Disadvantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs messed up
. Add a few scratches and a rap and you have this
Gotta Hold Over Me - Coko. Poor song. In my opinion Coko isnt the most gifted singer and you can tell on this track. Not one of Phils greatest and not one of Coko's either
I Dont Care Anymore - Kelis. Produced by the Neptunes, this is a harsh track with an 'I Hate You So Much Right Now' shouty feel to it. You would either love or hate this
Cant Turn Back The Years - Joe. Not to disimilar to the original and it works. The best track on the album, Joes voices gives this tune so much credit. It really does work. Quality
Do You Remember - Debelah Morgan. Poor again, she has a good voice and it comes through but the production is not great and its a big let down
Against All Odds - Montell Jordan. This is worse than the Westlife version. Its just not very good
One More NIght ...
Advantages: These songs are awful Disadvantages: These songs are awful
This is my personal list of the top ten worst songs of alltime. I?m sure there are hundreds more. The order is loose and I?m really not sure if number one should really be number ten. I suppose it all depends on the non-listening mood I?m in.
1: Achy Breaky Heart, Billy Ray Cyrus
Country and Western, but not as we know it. Written by Vietnam vet Don ?Pickle Puss? (Pickle Puss for Gawd?s sake!) Von Tress in the style of a brain-dead Blue Suede Shoes, Achy Breaky Heart represented every prejudice non-believers have about country: It was trite, it was inane, it was big in trailer parks and it was thoroughly enjoyed by the obese. Strangely, it was covered by Bruce Springsteen, with slightly less irony than you might imagine; still, this does not make it good. Its worst moment was an instrumental break that single-handedly rejuvenated ...
