It's the modern day fairytale that I'm sure secretly we all wish for and one where Julia Roberts manages to make prostitution look glamourous. Yes, we've all seen it, Pretty Women, probably on of the best loved chick flicks of our generation. Pretty Women is now nearly 20 years old but still of one my favourite films, it has some classic lines and a really heartwarming story. It was released in 1990 and according to an article I read, the film was a critical success and became one of 1990's highest grossing films, and today is one of the most financially successful entries in the romantic comedy genre, with an estimated gross of $464 million USD. What I didn't know initially is that it was intended to be more of a hard hitting drama about prostitution in New York but then turned into a romantic comedy. I'm not sure it would have worked ...

Housework songs vol 1

Advantages: A good mix of songs
Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework

A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to. I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you,because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-) Housework vol 1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie. The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits,but I honestly think its marketed wrong,this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents ...

All for the Love of a Woman

Advantages: Great story, excellent acting and effects
Disadvantages: some brutal battle scenes

to be a love story in a way as it was all about a man falling for the wrong woman, in a small sense it was a very old Romeo and Juliet type of story. After saying this please do not let it put you off from watching as the story also featured some excellent fighting scenes and some massive battles between the two nations. I found the character of Achilles was great and Brad Pitt really did look great in his gear. I found he played a quite complex character who did not give too much away but did show us that he had many different sides and was not just the out and out killer which people believed. I found this was more noticeable when he was with his cousin and I loved the bond between them. Orlando Bloom also did a great job in the role of Paris, the Trojan Prince but I did enjoy the role of Hector, the other Trojan Prince more. Eric ...
