...Of all the scores begging for the full on special edition treatment, 'For Your Eyes Only' wouldn't have been sat on the top of my list. 'Moonraker' it's predecessor maybe, but not Bill Contis 1981 score.
Probably one of the most unloved of the Bond soundtracks, it was a bold move by Oscar winning composer Conti (Rocky, Thomas Crown Affair) to drag Bond very much into 1981, and commit all the same sins of Marvin Hamlisch's score for 'The Spy Who Loved Me'. John Barry always had a knack of creating timeless music, and his efforts sound as fresh today as they did at the time of pressing. Conti however has brought disco beats, funky bass and crazy synths to Bond and created an instantly dated score that while fun, and often very good, just doesn't bear repeated listenings.

Since his last live performance, The Welcome Home Elvis Sinatra Timex special, back in 1960 [when he came out of the army] Elvis has started to miss the electricity of a live audience. The movies that he was churning out were moneymakers but there was nothing satisfying about them at all. So when Steve Binder came knocking with talk of a live TV special, Elvis jumped at it. Tom Parker didn’t want him to do because there wasn’t enough money involved. Not usually one to go against the words of his manager, Elvis went ahead and did it anyway. ...this all saint album is one that relaxes you and keeps you calm. this is because it does not have any really fast rythm or hard base in it. the songs it includes are:

this cd has loads of songs as stated above and they are all good. i never bought this my mum did but i liked it too. its music for all ages...
