Advantages: A good idea... Disadvantages: ...not quite well-enough executed
and imaginings it brings with it, Clair is utterly dependent upon the neighbours she despises, and upon Helen's continuing attendance.
On one such visit, responding to an urgent call from one of those neighbours, with Claire having soiled herself?Helen slips somehow from struggling to clean her up before calling for help to murdering her. It came surprisingly easily she tells us.
If you've been there?you will know that feeling.
The killing part is easy - but what do you do then?
The Almost Moon follows Helen through the next 24 hours as she tries to determine what she should do. Seeing her responses, it's clear that her mind is as fractured as her mothers ever was? inclinations to confess, attempts to dispose of the body, a pointless 'seduction' (to use a wholly inappropriate term) of her best friend's son, the involvement of her ex ...
Advantages: Current American Idol winner, a musician Disadvantages: None
This...... is the current American Idol Winner.
David Cook is the American Idol that nearly never was. He actually was not initially going to try out for the television talent show, he was at the auditions to support his brother but, after some pushing from his brother, decided to audition too. A good decision, because he became the winner of the seventh season of American Idol in 2008.
David Cook is classified as a Rock, singer-songwriter. His sound is definitely very rocky, but in my opinion quite soft rock. He plays the guitar and actually used it quite a lot when he was performing on Idol. If you look ...
Advantages: Some good writing in it Disadvantages: Depressing, flawed and confussing
Helen's father in his description o Clair that gives the title of the book:
"I like to think that your mother is almost whole...So much in life is about almost, not quites."... "The moon is whole all of the time, but we can't always see it. What we see is an almost moon or a not-quite moon."
I'm afraid that I did not find this book an 'almost good' book, I firmly believe that even if a book is about an awful subject, I should still enjoy reading it , and I didn't 'almost enjoy' reading this one and I certainly proved that you can't judge a book by its cover.
