When I heard that Aloha was going to be reedited I was a little bit skeptical. However I can confirm that the job that Elvis Presley Enterprises has done is superb.
We get 2 discs packed full of features, you get 17 minutes of Elvis arriving in Hawaii on the 9th January. It is nice to see the King interacting with the asembled crowds.
We then get the rehearsal concert and the main concert reedited from scratch will all new camera angles and improved sound. Let me tell you it is like watching a new concert.
Disc 2 starts with all the takes of the extra song elvis recorded for insertion into the American broadcast of the show. We see a very tired but extremely professional Elvis doing his best to get the job done.
The disc ends with the original broadcast as it was seen in America in April 1973. A very nice touch. If anyone has any doubts don't go get this set today you won't be disappointed.
