Advantages: The King At His Best Disadvantages: None
...When I heard that Aloha was going to be reedited I was a little bit skeptical. However I can confirm that the job that Elvis Presley Enterprises has done is superb.
We get 2 discs packed full of features, you get 17 minutes of Elvis arriving in Hawaii on the 9th January. It is nice to see the King interacting with the asembled crowds.
We then get the rehearsal concert and the main concert reedited from scratch will all new camera angles and improved sound. Let me tell you it is like watching a new concert.
Disc 2 starts with all the takes of the extra song elvis recorded for insertion into the American broadcast of the show. We see a very tired but extremely professional Elvis doing his best to get the job done.

Although this sounds small for an event of this kind in this day and age, in 1973 this was a huge sum, and very surprising.
The 25th anniversary CD features the full concert from 14 January 1973, and in addition it features a bonus 5 songs Elvis recorded after the concert, which were added to the US broadcast version of the show. At this time in his live shows Elvis was including an awful lot of chat in addition to his songs, much...
