...Holy Wood (in the valley of the shadow of death) is an outstanding achievement. Each of the tracks is worth being the title track on most albums. To complement the excellent music are Manson's acute and pointed comments on our society. This is not an album that sounds angry for the sake of it. Every issue that most artists are simply afraid to mention is exposed explicitly. There is nothing that Manson wont say, and for that alone the album is well worth buying. This album is clearly Manson's best work to date, and it is nice to return a to his original style after the deviation of Mechanical Animals. This is a must buy for anyone into this genre of music....

Advantages: Original with great classics Disadvantages: One or two songs not the best
...Well this was the first album from the Beautiful South and it still holds it head up high as probably the very best one! It includes the hit songs Song for Whoever, You Keep It All In and I'll Sail This Ship Alone, all great songs that are moving, passionate with great vocals and backing.
Great lesser known songs are the slightly dark Woman in The Wall (which is one of favourite of all their songs), and Have You Ever Been away.
Definitely an album for anyone who likes the BS, but not for those who vaguely like only the hits they've had....
