...Whilst not a million miles away from his final work with The Verve, Richard Ashcroft's first solo album boasts enough diversity to underline the mass eligibility for great singer - songwriter status. The singles A Song for the Lovers and Money to Burn serve their own purpose, as the commercial element of the album, but should by no means be the benchmark by which alone with Everybody should be gauged. ...out of the affirmation album this is one of my favourites it was wriiten especially for the fans who sometimes feel alone and mellow and the guys wanted to try and reach those people a bit more in a more personal way its one of those songs that is surely going to be around for years to come and feature on many compilation albums and deserves a good status although a quite mellow song it isnt dpressing it gives you a little high and makes you smile so when you feel all alone and teh world has turned its back on you give it a moment!...
