Advantages: A few really good song; Great singing; Amazing piano solos Disadvantages: Some boring songs; A lot of intrumental songs
...This was the first album I'd bought by Peggy Lee, after hearing a few of her songs from the internet, and I was quite impressed.
It may just be my taste, but in my opinion quite a lot of the songs are dull, and I almost always skip the instrumentals.
Peggy Lee is brilliant, as usual, and GeorgeShearing is enough to make you want to take up Piano.
The album's best songs have to be -
2: I Lost My Sugar In Salt Lake City
7: Blue Prelude
8. You Came A Long Way From St Louis
9: Always True To You In My Fashion
11: Get Out Of Town (has an AMAZING piano solo)
13: Nobody's Heart
Some of the songs take a while to get into, but you probably won't regret buying this album....

Advantages: Great songs Disadvantages: Only four new ones
...definitely grown on me. I mean, George plays the sitar on it, so that's really all you have to know to understand its excellence.
All Together Now is the second new song for the movie. This is another sing along like "Yellow Submarine," but I like this one better, probably because I haven't heard it a billion times. The music is pretty basic, with light bass and acoustic guitars and soft percussion, but the "all together now" chorus is loud and perfect to sing along with. The lyrics aren't much, but this song is hard to resist anyway because it's so fun.
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds first appeared on 1967's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The lyrics are very strange, speaking of tangerine trees, kaleidoscope eyes, cellophane flowers, and so on. The music adds to the trippy feel, with the Hammond organ and sitar in addition to the usual...

Advantages: A truly groundbreaking album that still inspires today Disadvantages: Mainly written by Paul, so not a completely fair representation of all The Beatles abilities
...it constantly, many still do not believe that this is the real inspiration behind the song. It is reminiscent of many Lewis Carrol books, which John and Paul were very interested in. The songs following are classics in their own right: George's first real Indian-influence number, "Within You, Without You" making its mark, and the tongue-in-cheek "Lovely Rita" soon became an anthem for traffic wardens everywhere. Never in the history of music though, had a song like the finale to this album been made. Comprising of two separate songs written by Lennon and McCartney respectively, they were pieced together. A simple concept, but it's the middle eight that gives the song, and therefore the album the edge it holds. A piece of music played by forty musicians in an orchestra "starting at a low note, and reaching the top note in any way they want to...
