...Whilst not a million miles away from his final work with The Verve, Richard Ashcroft's first solo album boasts enough diversity to underline the mass eligibility for great singer - songwriter status. The singles A Song for the Lovers and Money to Burn serve their own purpose, as the commercial element of the album, but should by no means be the benchmark by which alone with Everybody should be gauged. New york and Brave New World with their contrasting styles stand out as the albums highlights. highly recommended for Verve fans everywhere.... Read review
