Power and glory? Review ofBest Power Ballads In The World...ever, The - Various Artistsby

Advantages: Classic Tunes Disadvantages: Heard them all?
...Now then now then. It is time for some power ballads ya?!
There are some real classic power ballads in here such as Nothing Compares 2 U from Sinead O'Connor and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, but this is nicely mixed with modern anthems like How you remind me by Nickelback and Hero by Chag Kroeger and Josey Scott.
It says it is the best driving anthem but I would not advise you to buy it for driving as it could get your heart racing a bit much with the meotion of it!
If you are looking for a full throttle trip through time with some classic tunes which you may or may not like, but it is highly unlikely that you could listen to it and not feel at least a little sentimental or at least remember something about a certain time in your life.. be it a bad/good time with a boy/girlfriend or just a great time with friends....

Advantages: Fuller feeling to the tracks, more lively Disadvantages: Some of the essence shown in the first album is lost
...a brilliant track. I don't really think I need to say anything about it, my mum has just come in singing along and if she knows it then everyone must know it!
Someone Watching Over Me - Pretty lyrics against the keyboard, this is a track reminiscent of their first album, with images of long dustyroads and blazing sunshine. I like this track a lot
Secrets - everyone's got them apparently, and they are for keeping. The lyrics are a bit childish in my opinion but fun anyway. This song feels a bit more serious than the rest, but not too serious, that would be too unlike The Zutons I feel.
How Does It Feel - This song is quite peaceful and lead singer Dave McCabe sings passionately
Why Won't You Give Me Your Love - Very catchy, some really dirty sax in this too. The lyrics are easy to pick up, there's a great rhythm, this is an all-round great song...

Dusty - Dusty Springfield Review ofDusty (The Very Best Of Dusty Springfield) [Remastered] - Dusty Springfieldby
Angelil
Advantages: A lively, upbeat album which is tautly compiled, including all the great hits. Disadvantages: Lacks maybe one or two key songs. Album a little long.
...This album was compiled a few years before Dusty Springfield died of cancer in the 1990s, relaunching all of her hits onto a modern audience as well as allowing older audiences to relive her greatness. It is a fantastic disc for loyal fans of Dusty who want all of her hits on one disc, as well as a perfect gateway for new fans who want a taste of her music. Many of her well-known songs are here, including 'I Only Wanna Be With You', 'You Don't Have to Say You Love Me', 'I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself', 'The Look of Love' and 'Son of a Preacher Man'. It also includes 'What Have I Done To Deserve This', Dusty's collaboration track with the Pet Shop Boys, and the album as a whole provides a variety of upbeat and mellow tracks, making it a perfect soundtrack all year round.
Dusty's originality was clearly marked in the 1960s when...
