Advantages: Great beats, great voice and catchy choruses Disadvantages: the occasional poor track and repetitive mentions to money and being 'the boss'
...If you are looking for witty and clever lyrics then move on, because this isn't it. If you are looking for some quality hard hitting beats (mainly from The Neptunes, Sha Money and Jazze Pha) and a very different southern sound then this is the album.
Due to SlimThug being so successful on the underground mixtape circuit the title AlreadyPlatinum highlights the fact that he thought no major label would be able to offer him a deal that could match the figures he was already making! Geffen records did and hooked him straight up with the productive prowess of The Neptunes with the end result being a very good debut album for the Houston rapper.
Track 1 - The Intro - This highlights his success prior to making this album. 3/5

...DMX first came onto the scene, back in 1993 and signed to Def Jam records, easily one of the most successful hip hip record labels of time. He brought a new style with him of thugged out hip hop with a gritty voice sounding similat to Sticky Fingaz of ONYX. This style immediately attracted many listeners from both coasts of the US and this album went platinum.
This album is very ghood because it has good rhymes and good loops on it as well. DMX has a good voice because he is from the ghetto. he has made a name for himself already within the rap industry and is easily approaching Dr Dre or 2 Pac stardom. Buy It....

Advantages: Features grat rappers Disadvantages: None
...Dre’s first album is the best he has ever made. It features the vocals and rhyming abilities that took snoop doggy dogg to the top of the rap world. Featuring songs such as “Aint notin but a G Theng” and “Lil Ghetto boy” it is obvious that this is going to be a great album before you even hear it.
If you like rap or Dre you will probably already have this album but for those who don’t I can say 1 thing and that is “get it”. I have albums such as “straight out o Compton”, "Marshall Mathers", "Slim shady", "last meal", "restless", "thug life" etc and it is still my favourite album. And if it can hold itself amongst the top of that lot, (some of the best rap albums of all time) then there must be something good. But don’t take my word for it go out and get it for yourself...
