Album Notes: ALRIGHT JACK is regarded by some as the last great British folk-rock album. The Home Service included singer John Tams and two other former members of the finest lineup of the Albion Band. The collapse of Home Service's record company/distributor shortly after the release of ALRIGHT JACK in 1986 and the effort required to keep an eight-piece outfit on the road led to the band's demise. Thereafter, John Tams concentrated on theatre and TV work before releasing a solo album in 2000.
Advantages: QUALITY MUSIC AND FUN LYRICS Disadvantages: none
...I’ve got every one of greenday’s albums and this is their best so far.
On the cover it is not very inspiring with the band members walking along a street .

1. Warning- This is a public service announcement, this is only a test emergency evacuation protest, may impair you ability to operate machinery.
2. Blood, sex and booze- Waiting in a room all tied up and bound and gagged up to a chair, its so unfair.
3. Church on Sunday- Today is the first day of the rest of our lives, tomorrow is too late to pretend everything’s alright.
4. Fashion Victim- He’s a victim of his own time in his vintage suit and tie, he’s casualty dressed to the teeth in the latest genocide.

Advantages: Combination of styles, many great tracks, simple but brilliant Disadvantages: Some not too good songs, too short

Little Bird has a bluesy style to it, and it features some lyrics which are kind of disturbing if you think about them. "I got a little bird, I'm gonna take her home, put her in a cage, and disconnect the phone." I just imagine a crazed stalker kidnapping a girl and locking her up in a cage. Maybe I'm insane, but anyway, this is a good song, although not one of my favourites.
Finally, the song that made me buy this CD, Apple Blossom. I have heard other people say that The White Stripes sound like The Beatles, and though I usually disagree (I think they sound more like Led Zeppelin), I can hear the Beatles similarities on this track. The music is a brilliant mix...
