Advantages: Nice vocals. Charlotte is good-looking. Disadvantages: A few fill-in songs.

When the lead singer Billy and Bassist Charlotte sing together its phenomonal. Truly good. By getting to #17 in the UK charts it shows it has potential. 'Girls and Boys' is the first song and probably best song closely followed by 'Alright', and then in bronze place comes 'I Won't Let You Down'. The songs are really catchy ... ...'Totally Calum Bets'. I know, terrible programme, but quite high profile considering its MTVone.
It deserves a listen.... I do believe the trio (Josh on drums) will progressively belong with a bigger profile n the coming years. Definitely one for the CD tower in the living room, right next to the Hi-fi! ... more

'Girls and Boys' is the first song and probably best song closely followed by 'Alright', and then in bronze place comes 'I Won't Let You Down'. The songs are really catchy and have been used on many tv programmes such as 'Totally Calum Bets'. I know, terrible programme, but quite high profile considering its MTVone.

Advantages: Its the Subways, It doesnt get much better. Disadvantages: It will leave you wanting more.
The Subways return with their second album after a short break. Is it better than the first album? After listening to it for a couple of months I still cant make my mind up on this.
This really is a matter of opinion as it can be looked at from so many ways, mucically the band has evolved, there is no denying this!
There are many darker songs on this album due to the breakup of Billy (Guitarist) and Charlotte (Bassist) of the band. The album is ... ...considering the circumstances. Most of the songs in the first album "Young for Eternity" are about love and youth where as "All or Nothing" is much more mature and focuses on much darker subjects.
For anybody looking for something which simply defines the rock and roll genre this is it. Listen to this album and you will be buying tickets to see them play live as soon as you can. So far this is my favorite album of 2008, If you have the time give ...

Album Reviews
Kerrang (Magazine) (p.63) - "ALL OR NOTHING is packed ripe with the kind of songs that sit comfortably and unselfconsciously between indie-pop and rock noise. Strong on melody and big on volume..." Q (Magazine) (p.143) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "[S]o assured are producer Butch Vig's pop touch and Cooper's harmonies that these pop-punk nuggets sound as sunny as anything on their debut." Clash (magazine) (p.123) - "The Subways have channeled every jarring emotion into an altogether more prolific [album]....Shot through with far more direction than their debut..."
