I enjoyed this album immensely. All the songs on this album were well written and linked together nicely. I particularly liked Spit it out and Alternative to Love but all the songs are great in their own way.

Spit It Out is a rather rocky tune with a great Bass line and the chorus is very catchy with great guitar at the end of the chorus.

Cold Hands (Warm Heart) this is a much more mellow song with some relaxing guitar and vocals there is also some nice percussion. His voice is actually quite warming as the name suggests.

Feel like myself : great opening percussion solo although this follows the relaxing nature of the rest of the album. Lyrics are great as are the vocals.

Addicted to Love : Guitar and Vocals superb in this song this has to be Brendan Bensons's Anthem. Bass makes an entrance occasionally but it is mainly guitar.

Pledge : This song sounds as if it is taken straight out of a western but not in a bad way it is not country music but it does contain maracas or something that sounds very similar to me. It sort of sounds like an opening to an epic movie.

Them and Me : This song starts relatively relaxing but becomes more and more sinister as it progresses but not to dark as the chorus is a bit more uplifting than the rest of the song. There are some creepy synths.

Biggest Fan : Nice relaxing piano and vocals take a break for the opening but return later on. This is very calming similar to Coldplay in this song

Flesh & Bone : This song improves greatly after the opening ad the vocals dominate this song although the guitar is very good joined by some high quality percussion.

Get It Together : This song raises the tempo up a bit. Great song to bob your head to not to violently as that could cause
some serious brain damage :-) but it is a good song as it wakes you up a bit.

Gold Into Straw : This song is great for the lyrics and the vocals and of course the guitars are great as per usual. Also there are some unusual instruments that make an appearance and they are welcome.

What I'm Looking For : This song featured in an OC episode and so it obviously is very good. Lots of keyboard being used and some pretty good guitar but mainly just strumming.

Between Us : The opening to this song sounds like a mixture of Monster Mash (The song not a band)and Kaiser Chiefs. Then the style completely changes and becomes more relaxing then into increases tempo with the aid of some keyboard and continuing with the guitar.

I Love this album overall and I can listen to this almost every where including the bus or when I am in bed but I have listened to slipknot in bed but this is much more relaxing then that.
