Advantages: Inexpensive, compact, easy toget hold of Disadvantages: Makes me gag, hate the scraping sensation down my tongue
Over the past year or so I have been having quite a bit of bother with my teeth, including having to have two wisdom teeth removed recently, having root canal work and a chipped front tooth. I have always been fastidious about oral hygiene and take great pains to ensure that my teeth and gums are in the very best condition they can be. I religiously brush my teeth after every meal and floss twice a day.
After a recent trip to the dentist, to check on the healing of my gums after having had my two wisdom teeth removed, my dentist remarked that I am having a lot of build up of dental plaque. Despite regular trips to the dental hygienist to have it removed, it just seems to come back quicker each time. I mentioned this to my dentist and he suggested that perhaps I should invest in a 'tongue scraper'. He went on to explain that when ...
Advantages: Everthing but the healing Disadvantages: healing process
Okay so what I've decided to do is follow what happens during each day of a tongue piercing. Instead of just one day sitting down and writing the whole thing in an hour I will spend a few minutes each night explaining what the day was like, how it hurts on the day, what I ate, the progress my tongues made, any worries, and anything else I can think on that day. I think then this will give everyone a good idea as to what a tongue piercing is like and what may happen day after day. So In some ways it's like a tongue piercing diary haha. I know it's very long but this way everyone who is interested will get an in depth review and I have also tried to add a bit of sarcasm, wit and comedy so it will not be a long boring read. I will follow what happens each day for 2 weeks writing a few lines for each day, anyway enjoy and I hope this helps ...
Advantages: The men like it ;-) Disadvantages: Can get infected, swells up etc *see op*
People often ask me, why did u get that done? Well, I had my ears pierced when I was 4 and since the age of 12 I’d always wanted my tongue pierced. I asked my parents if i could get it done, but as I expected the answer was NO!
Eventually, after 3 years of nagging, moaning and wining, they gave in to me and said I could get it done, but then I began to think. Dare I?
I plucked up the courage when I was 14 to go into town and get it done. I had to have a letter from my parents to say they gave their consent, as I was only 14. The lady in the shop had hers done so I was asking all questions possible. Did it hurt? Can u eat normal food afterwards etc I paid her £35 pound and sent upstairs to be faced by a scary looking man - he was covered in tattoos and piercings but was a lovely bloke.
I sat down on the chair a he explained ...
On the limmited edition it has all the music videos on it as well! An excellent touch I think!
The cover is the only downside that I have found, it looks nice now but after time it's going to be a bit scruffy as it's made like a hard back book with no plastic covering. (*)
