There are regular offers in the Sun for day trips to France on P & O Ferries from Dover to Calais. These are excellent value at £1 per foot passenger, and between £15 and £22 for a car including passengers. The Sun during these periods also has vouchers for many duty paid items either redeemable on board the ferry or in Calais itself, and the reductions are considerable. The ferries themselves are quite new and to a very good standard. Apart from food, drink and duty paid items it is also possible to exchange currency on board. Advantages: Successful, professional, knows its market
Disadvantages: Brash, trivial, scurrilous, simplistic, self-congratulatory
...on a sofa, stocking-topped thighs parted invitingly. "Dear Deidre" - the agony aunt page - is always accompanied by a 'photo casebook' of near-naked pics. And, in one issue, I even found nipples on the City Page, surely an unorthodox guide to stock selection.
The Sun was only really running true to form when it led the paper with Saddam in his underpants.

But, you may be thinking, looking beyond content and treatment, what about The Sun's opinions? Aren't they famously strident, populist and rabble-rousing?
