...No doubt, the animated feature was a riot. However, its only after you see the songs listed on a back cover of a CD, is when you notice how Dreamworks went a little lazy on the soundtracks of this movie. Every other B grade inspirational movie ever to hit the market has had Chariot of Fire or What a Wonderful World. Also in this album includes the wilted Hawaii 5-0 score, overplayed Stayin' Alive, and bargain bin Boogie Wonderland. Dreamworks certainly didn't spend too much effort trying to find some obscure or even less heard gems out there. They went straight for the tried and tired. The only saving garce were the original scores by Hans Zimmer, especially Best Friends. However this only underlines the laziness of Dreamworks in just getting a the most obvious legendary figure in music sondtracks. Its probably an accurate guess... Read review

Advantages: Pure Elvis (the first live global satellite broadcast in history !)
Disadvantages: None what so ever !

...strongly about these songs as he was still hurt by Priscilla and was devastated when she left him for another man .He also included one of his early hits 'hound dog' which he recorded in 1956 when he was just starting out. He also performed his own unique powerful versions of other artist's songs, the sad but beautiful 'you gave me a mountain' about a man and his struggle to find a place in life, the Frank Sinatra hit 'my way' which everyone knows the words to , and the poignant 'I'll remember you' which seems fitting as the world will always remember Elvis. The magnificent and patriotic 'American Trilogy'closed the performance. What a way to end as Elvis sings of his love for his country and immortality . To me it is not really about which songs he sang it is about the way he sings them in his own unique style with his love for music... Read review
