Advantages: AMAZING CD AND BOOK Disadvantages: none
...this is such a briliant cd and book guide. i would highly reccomend this to all indian musicians and people interested in studying indian classical music , specifically north indian aka hindustani music. it has a deep explanation of the basics of indianmusic so that you can truly appreciate the ragas (melodic structures) and talas (rhythmic cyles) and more features unique to indianmusic. the cds are also great as they are thoroughly explained in the book and you can even play the music on your western or indian instrument as the music is written in the book in western notation. the cds are not only great to listen to to learn the music side but are also great performances by some of the most distinguished artists in india....

Advantages: Spiritual ,deep, catchy, musically great Disadvantages: Some may be deterred by the more traditional elements of the album
...have seen it in the beauty of a Navaho girl like a flower in the desert heat, and I've seen it in the eyes of a Cheyenne dancer as he move to an ancient beat" The song is extremely melodic and the harmonica is a real nice addition.
Track 9:Inter-Tribal Pow-Wow
Speaks for itself. A hearty traditional drumming and chanting Pow-Wow
Track 10: Kokopelli's Journey
Great flute and amazing energy. This instrumental starts of mild and builds in spirit, energy and tempo. Some interesting vocals used to symbolise the bird Kokopelli.
Track 11: My People

Lines such as "My people spread like eagles wings across the valleys and the plains, now the feathers have been broken but the eagle still remains" My people heard the thundering as the iron horse...

Advantages: great to listen to Disadvantages: people loook at you if you sing out loud!!
...Wow! Where should I start? The catchy songs? The fabulous lyrics? The amazingly talented singers? All in all what's not to love about it? The songs are great, (incredibly cheesy, but great). They are performed by a range of incredibly talented young singers/actors. All of the songs are original and work well with the storyline of the film. They represent a lot of built up emotions in these high school kids who just want to fit in with their peers, and singing these songs helps them 'break free', so to speak, from the cliques of normal high scool life at East High. These songs are both inspiring and fun to listen to, and I personally have gotten a lot of enjoyment from singing along to these songs....
