The album, American Idiot, from Green Day is one of those albums where you think, “I need some proper drum solos, some electric guitar excellence and punk rock lyrics,” and so say yes I will put on American Idiot. It has all of those qualities. I believe it is their seventh album they have released but it still comes up beating the competition, and smelling of punk rock roses.

In the album there are the lyrics to the songs and no omitted words. But before I get into any trouble, it is an album that carries the “Warning explicit lyrics” logo so there is swearing. Green day are a trio from California. The band members are Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt and John. Their formula really works as it cleaned up in all the shops I went in as soon as it was released. My favourite songs are American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams and She’s A Rebel.

Anyone who hasn’t bought American Idiot is a fool.
