Advantages: Colossal Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...The first thing that strikes you about Mr Pavarotti is his not inconsiderable size. In the world of opera singers, Mr Pavarotti is a giant among men (as for the women, that walking Bedhouin tent who performed with Freddie Mercury, Monster CampingEquipment, must be in contention for the bigness prize). Ever since I first saw him on Cardiff Largest Singer in the World back in the 80s I was transfixed with his girth.
Its actually quite difficult to get hold of realistic figures - www.howfat.com barely mentions the tubby tenor while www.famousfatties.com/singers/pavarotti.html hasn't been updated since June 1999 and you can bet he's tucked into a few bowls of pasta since then.
LoveSongs, by the way, is a CD of, yep, lovesongs by large Luciano, as follows
1. Volare
2. Caruso
3. Non ti scordar di me
4. Musica proibita
5. Vieni sul mar

...Katherine Jenkins has an amazing voice. She is increasingly becoming one of the worlds favourite opera stars. Whilst singing in a concert in germany, there was suddenly a massive crashing noise, the audience began to duck with the thought of gunfire, but to there suprise the noise was coming from the roof, whilst singing the last note of o holy night ( a masterpiece on the album) she had shattered part of the chandelier and it had fallen to the ground below. not one did she stop she just carried on going.
That explains a little about her voice. the album consists of

04 House of No Regrets
05 O sole mio
06 En Aranjuez con tu amor
07 Seguidilla

Cherubino, the very horny young page of the Count and Countess Almavivas, is one of opera's great "trouser roles." In Track 1, Cherubino sings a rather corny song he wrote for the Countess as she looks on bemused by the amorous adolescent. Ms Graham's radiant tone makes Cherubino's adoration of the Countess easy to believe. The tempo is a mite slow for my taste; however, with the piece dragging toward the end.
In track 2, Cherubino is explaining his life ambitions (basically to bed every girl in sight) to the maid Susanna. There is just the right mix of horniness and boyish naivete in this interpretation. You...
