Well, I have to say a big hello to everyone on my return to Ciao. I have been extremely busy with EXAMS and COURSEWORK, my two least favourite things in the WHOLE WORLD!!!!!
However, I have now found the greatest thing in the world and that is the FANTASTIC Anastacia. Now this woman knows pain and suffering, yet she doesn’t complain about it, she just seems to get on with her life. After suffering at the hands of cancer, Anastacia has had operation after operation, but while she was practically in her hospital bed she decided to jump up and make a new album, and what an amazing album it is.
Until I heard Left Outside Alone (Track 2 on album), which might I add holds the title as the longest running single in the UK Singles Chart this year (around 20 weeks), I hadn’t really recognised Ani at all. I had heard a couple of her previous singles like, I’m Outta love and Paid My Dues, but I had never really thought anything of them. I was however, just blown away by Left Outside Alone, and decided that I must buy her album, which is self-titled Anastacia. Since then I have made it my personal duty to buy her first 2 albums and I am now totally infatuated the queen of ‘Sprock’ Anastacia. (By the way if you were wondering… ‘Sprock’ is described by Anastacia as a mixture of Soul, Pop and Rock.)

Track 1 – Seasons Change.

(In fact it was made for Anastacia to sing, she co-wrote it with K. Deoguard & J. Rzeznik.) It is just fantastic and a song that you can put on repeat and listen to again and again. My rating 10/10.
Track 2 – Left Outside Alone.
One of my personal favourites, because this song brought the fantastic Ani to my life. (Hee Hee) More of a pop song this one, with little pinches of soul music in the beginning. My rating another 10/10.
Track 3 – Time.
This is quite a slow song, but not boring! Anastacia’s voice blasts out in all its glory and does a fantastic job at that. My rating yet another 10/10.
Track 4 – Sick and Tired.
This is Anastacia's newest song, and expresses her more soulful ballad style of music. The lyrics are fantastic and again I think that a song that only Anastacia could pull off in the way that she does. 10/10
Track 5 – Heavy on my Heart. I absolutely love this song. I think that it is a song that can seem quite depressing in its ballad style, but all of the lyrics are great and that the song should be enjoyed more than it probably is. 10/10
Track 6 – I do (Feat. Sonny of P.O.D) (who’s he???)
Another great original Ani song. All of the lyrics are fantastic yet again, and I think that the random P.O.D man really gives the song its rockier edge. How does she do it????? 10/10.
Track 7 – Welcome to my Truth.
Another slow song but is anything but quiet. Ani seems to make the slowest of songs jazzed up with her fantastic voice. Great thoughtful words and a fantastic chorus. 10/10
Track 8 – Pretty Little Dum Dum.
I think that this shows Ani’s sense of humour. It is quite a fast song, with slow parts. I think that it is a good all round song but not as good as others. But still a fantastic 10/10.
Track 9 – Sexy Single.
I think that this song is next on Anastacia's release list. It is the most pop diva type song on the album, but is still quite catchy and will have you tapping your feet along in no time. 10/10.
Track 10 – Rearview
I think that this song is fantastic. It has great lyrics that really make you thing about the song. It is a great sing-a-long song and would be absolutely fantastic driving along the motorway in an open-top car. 10/10
Tracks 11 & 12 (who shall remain nameless!!!)
Although these songs are quite listen-able to, I don’t quite think that they are up to the standard of the other 10 fantastic songs that she has made in the album. I still rate these songs as 9/10, but think that they are really just a gap-filler, because the album is quite short as it is.
So should you buy it???
Definitely!! It is worth £8.99 of anybody’s money, and if you ask me is £8.99 well spent. You can listen to this album forever and because it has 2 or 3 different types of music, the songs will change your mood etc.
Anastacia co-wrote EVERY SINGLE song on the album, which I think is fantastic for music today, because a lot of artists rely on song-writers for them to even release singles. A job well done ANI. The cover of the album isn’t hard to miss as it has the beautiful Anastacia posing on the front. There is a little booklet inside with all the words to the songs, but I think that you will find that you listen to the album so much that you will learn all of the songs quite easily.
So well done Ani! And I hope this review was helpful to someone. (Did I mention that Anastacia is FANTASTIC!!)

...either. This latest slice of Anastacia art is welcomed with open arms in my opinion. I've always really liked her voice, she's powerfully gifted vocally reaching ranges beyond comprehension. Talent wise she is limitless in the offerings she brings to us in the shape of her albums. This latest self-titled smash was catapulted into our charts with the release of Left Outside Alone, and more recently, the aptly titled Sick and Tired. It's hard to believe ... ...many genres of music and Anastacia adapting her voice more than ever before. The sound is maturer but still throaty and powerful, and the lyrics are true to life written by the woman herself. Not many artists of this calibre left and Anastacia has all the finesse of a legend who will be around for years to come. I'm not exaggerating, you'll be hard pushed to find any artist with the strength of voice and character, the talent and classic originality ...

I’m a fairly new member here but decided it was time for me to take the plunge and write a proper review. I’m a real music buff and love all types of music from R ‘N’ B to Rock, Pop to Indie. It really doesn’t bother me, I love it all. Just recently I bought Anastacia’s new album. It’s her third one and I really think its her best so far.

The first track has a good tempo to it. It’s relatively quick ... ...good and are quite easy to listen to. The music is good with a the drum backing her vocals quite well. The track has quite a rock feel to it rather than pop and it serves as a good opening to the album. Left Outside Alone (4.17)

Anastacia (Anastacia Newkirk) originally from the Greek work meaning 'she will rise again'. But has Anastacia managed to live up to her names origin??
Anasatcia, 31, was originally brought up in New York and was born into a entertainment-orientated family. With her father a singer and mother an actress in musicla theatre on Broadway it must of only been a matter of time before she broke out into the performing arts world herself!
Anastacia started ... ...2003 it was revealed that Anastacia had been diagnosed with breast cancer when waiting for breast reduction surgery for ortherpedic reasons. The pop princess completed a course of treatment sucessful and was back in the studios in September 2003 with Glen Ballard, Dallas Austin and Dave Stewart recording her third album ‘Anastacia’ to be realeased 2004!
When she released ‘Left Outside Alone’ earlier this year I knew at once, she’s back! After purchasing ...

Overall, there are some fillers on this album, but her voice is amazing and most tracks show how powerful her voice is. It's well worth a listen, I'm not an Anastacia fan, but still enjoyed most tracks on this album ...

If you haven’t heard of Anastacia where have you been? When Anastacia burst on to the scene just a few years back, her combination of light rock music and unique rustic voice saw her dominate the charts. With her Kick ass albums being so popular, many, including myself, wondered how the new album would compare. The self titled album ‘Anastacia’ is every bit as good as the first; in fact I would go so far as to say I prefer this album. The first release ... ...only to be quashed by Anastacia in her interviews that the track wasn’t written because of one person in particular. Here she collaborates with a none accredited artist to create an unusual mixture of vocal talent, and seriously works well. ‘Heavy on my Heart’ is my favourite track of the album. It's taken a while but Anastacia returns with her fifth album 'Heavy Rotation'. The follow up to 2005's 'Pieces Of A Dream' shows that Anastacia is still one of the best singers out there.
This album is yet another example of her versatility, there are very varied sounds on the album but I personally find it exciting to listen to!
I saw her on ITV Diva show where she sang one of the new songs on the album & as soon as I herd it I knew I had to out and purchase the album & im so glad I did.
I think most Anastasia fans will love this album & even if you are not a fan its still worth a listen as I think you would also end up liking it.
I would say this was her best album by far and it was well worth the wait. Hopefully she will be on tour soon.

This woman has to have one of the best voices Ive heard in years - a favourite of various other celebrities - including micheal jackson, president bush etc.
So you could say she appeals to people of every walk of life.
Regardless of whether or not you like (i say broadly)"this kind of music" - there is a definate confidence about anastacia's voice.
This my favourite of anastacias albums - purely because of the songs and their lyrics.
This is one of those albums that you play to death when you get it - then you forget you've got it - until you hear one of the songs.
The trigger song for me is her new release with Ben Moody - excellent song - excellent showcase for two brilliant voices.

?Not That Kind? is the first album from the gorgeous Anastacia. This is review 3/3 for Anastacia?s albums for me. I absolutely LOVE her and if you?ve read any of my other reviews on her albums then I expect that you already knew that. I do tend to babble on about how wonderful she is, so I am going to try and tone this review down? a little bit anyway!
Well its been a while since I wrote my last review and the last one was on Ani?s second album ?Freak of Nature?. So this album is great by anybody?s standards, although compared to her latest album self-titled ?Anastacia? I don?t think that this album is that great. Don?t get me wrong it is still an amazing album but if anybody has heard her latest album then you will know what I am talking about because that is just fantastic!

Self titled third album from the self professed performer of 'Sprock' music (soul, pop and rock). Following on from 2002's 'Freak Of Nature', 'Anastacia' keeps to the melodic pop style fueled by soulful vocal lines as seen on previous releases. However this release shows a maturity in lyric writing less evident on her earlier albums.
