Metallica:...and justice for all.
Gotta say that this album caught me by surprise, a few friends of mine don't like this album so i was quite nyeh on getting it but i did and liked it...which obviously is a good thing. so i'll get on with it then.
Blackened 06:41 Hmm well as the first track i was very interested in this one seeing as i mentioned in previous reviews on music i don't normally like opening tracks on albums they tend to dissapoint me, i can't say this one dissapointed me because obviously i was expecting bad music from what i had heard. But no i was thoroughly interested. The beat was just so original i loved it, the riffs certainly got my ears open they were that good.
...And justice for all 09:46 roughly a 10 minuet track, not that interesting at the start, until it gets to 01:10, thats when the beat comes in. it has a steady consistent rhythm that keeps you listening always wondering when a riff is going to fly in the best one being at 05:05 that one has stayed in my head for god knows how long.
Eye of the beholder 06:30 the guitars slowly fade in until you can hear clearly, it is a rhythm that gets you tapping your fingers unconciously...i did an experiment and thats how i got my dad to like metallica, easy lyrics to remember...amazing beat.
One 07:27 As mentioned in another review of mine on Metallica this song is on Guitar hero III and was made for a film called Tom(amazing film) i love the start of this track with the hints of spanish guitar about 02:15 into the song the electric feel comes in. The beat is a simple but effective one Lars is amazing at his instrument
The shortest straw 06:36 Once this song gets going it is impossible to switch it off...and it stays in your head for days. i think what really captured me was the tempo and rhythm of the instruments and the tempo of the singing too.
Harvester of sorrow 05:45 The first few seconds didnt interest me at all and just as i was about to skip to the next track the beat and guitar came in...was i surprised? the Lyrics i think really caught me and pulled me in.
The frayed ends of sanity 07:44 the name of this track got me super interested...simply because i dont think i have any sanity in me, im always hyper and running around like crazy. The start is really awesome it gets any-ones attention even my mums!...she used to be a mod so is into that type of music she loved the beat espesially, i noticed that her head was bobbing to it and now she knows the lyrics
To live is to die 09:49 a ten minuet instumental is not my scene so i dont listen to this one. but i do have to say the riff at 05:58 is amazing.
Dyers eve 05:13 wowzer! this song is amazing and you will like it even better through earphones Lars does a drum thing wear it travels from one ear piece to another its simply amazing! got a very catchy guitar rhythm to it aswell.
i recommend this to any one who loves the New Metallica album Death Magnetic (2008)

'One' has footage from the film Johnny Got HIs Gun. Although I love the album, I'm not the biggest fan of Lars. The drumming in Dyers Eve is alright, but he can't do it live. Good review :o)
This record has so much good material that it's a shame the production is so shoddy. ... more
Song-wise, this is probably Metallica's most sophisticated album, exploring the theme of justice and perversions thereof with a vengeance. "One" is one of their best s...

Advantages: It's Metallica, quite simply. Amid much criticism from the American public in their early years they still knock out such fantastic, original tracks. Well worth purchasing Disadvantages: Bass is too quiet depending on how you like your metal but doesn't do much to spoil sound
