Advantages: Powerful, upbeat, superb recordings Disadvantages: Not long enough
...compare to this one as all of the recordings are live. Although, having said that, the songs are, on average pretty long, so I guess that makes up for the disappointing 8 tracks. The shortest song is 3.27 and the longest is the epic 'comin' home' which is nearly 7 minutes long.
You know from looking into the vast list of artists involved in the making of this album that it will not disappoint- George Harrison and Grammy award winning RitaCoolidge to name just two.
Overall, this album is one which will get you hooked. It is completely alive of power and energy which will make you want to move! It features some of the most amazing live recordings I think you will ever hear! Excellent value of money, proud to have bought my own copy!...

Space March featuring Leftfield
(Original artist: John Barry)
The trance like feel of Barry's You Only Live Twice music serves Leftfield well. A solid addition to the Album if you like this sort of thing. 7/10
All Time High featuring Pulp
(Original artist: RitaCoolidge)
Like Aimee Mann, Jarvis Cocker seems determined to put his own stamp on his song...without doing anything especially interesting. The mass appeal of Pulp passed me by in the nineties but if you were a fan you mght have more time for this song than I do. 5/10
Moonraker featuring Shara Nelson
(Original artist: Shirley Bassey)
Nelson sticks closely by the original and the song is all the better for it, capturing the spirit and feel of Shirley Bassey's version. A good addition to the Album. 7/10

Advantages: A couple of good tracks Disadvantages: Hampered by some bad 'uns
...gospel choir at the end, and is undoubtedly one of the stronger tracks on the album. 'Die Another Day' was attacked by Elton John for being the worst Bond theme of all time, the rotund piano man suggesting that he could have done a much better job. Perhaps that's why he's so angry all the time, because he keeps getting overlooked for Bond themes… and while he is wrong about it being the worst Bond theme of all time (RitaCoolidge's 'All Time High', from Roger Moore's awful 'Octopussy', surely?), he does have a point. It sounds unlike any other Bond theme, a strange, jittery, stop-start electronic number that would have Shirley Bassey spinning in her grave if she were dead. But it is by no means a bad song and fits in with the rest of the album very well.
However, you do get the impression that both Madonna and Mirwais are beginning to run out...
