Advantages: Some great games comming up Disadvantages: Noisy bit of kit with slow loading
The x-box360 is without a doubt a great bit of gaming kit. Although I have found a couple of issues with it. Firstly I have not come across a game that really pushes its graphics capability, although I am sure that as programmers get to grips with its potential power that it will prove to be a lot better then it appears now. The biggest gripe that I have with the X-box360 was the noise from the machine it self. It is the noisiest gaming console I have ever come across this is partially due to the fans used on the console and I m sure that if apple can sun silent machines then Microsoft must be able to as well. The disc drive is also a extremely noisy. The combination of these elements together means that you can not enjoy watching DVDs on it. Another issue with the machine is the power pack personally I would prefer a larger machine that ...
Advantages: A Stunningly good author Disadvantages: None
My wife read it and said: "You should read this book (Neverland) by Simon Crump, it's got a very black sense of humour. You'll enjoy it."
So I did. It was. I did.
Neverland by Simon Crump. It's a very novel Novel. Is it a collection of interlinked short stories, as some people believe? Yes. Well, no. Not, quite. It's more a collection of interlinked ideas, instead.
By the way, the dead hamster unicorn featured in the novel? I'm not entirely certainly it was. Dead, that is.

(They are or rather, were friends in real life) You can imagine them being in a shopping mall. You can imagine them having an argument. But then place them and their argument (and the stunning consequences ...

Advantages: Some impressive jumpy moments, a little suspense Disadvantages: Just really disappointing overall
. However, after a visit from Raymond Price (Ian McNiece) who says he has located Anna within white noise from beyond the grave, the film soon escalates into an obsession on Jonathan's part.
This could have been such a good film. It has immense potential to shock and provide a good storyline, much as films like The Others and other paranormal phenomenon films did. I found that White Noise stopped short of this, and instead dealt with the topic in a rather forced way.
First, though, the good. The amount of times I actually jumped out of my chair was quite surprising. I don't know whether this is a psychological thing. It was on late last night on Film4, and there are periods of sustained white noise on the screen, just before a jumpy moment, and perhaps as it was late, I was drifting a bit, then the noise and visuals shot me up in my seat ...
