Advantages: A more grown up album than Debut JJ72 Disadvantages: If you're not into Indie or Rock I doubt you'll like it but give it ago
...:
Track 1: Nameless
We start the album with a truly beautiful song. This song is very soft all the way through and a very peaceful intro to the new album just as the previous album had with October Swimmer. This song lacks a lot of what it would take to make a single but is a fairly reasonable album track.
Track 2: Formulae
The first single to be taken from the album and the video was given pride of place on the screens next to the main stage at Reading this year. A song that a lot of people will have heard because of the amount of radio airplay it got. A very different feel to this song than to any previous JJ songs more up-tempo with a larger scale of instruments.
Track 3: I Saw A Prayer
One of my favourite tracks on this album even though the first few times I listened to it I thought it was a bit weak. Again better use...

Advantages: Much more mature Music Disadvantages: Lots of cheese
...Well they are well and truly back the sensation that broke thousands of girls & a few boys (awww) hearts many years ago when they decided to split up. This album is far from anything they released when they were all rowdy young lads up for a laugh and a few other things, far from songs such as ‘’Pray’’ ‘’it only takes a minute’’ yes all these song are obviously from ma bunch of lads who party drink collect women and well party..
To be honest after hearing they would be making a comeback i wasn’t to pleased after watching the antics of which they got up to on the backs of tour buses which is way to disgusting to mention on here, i could only try to imagine the rubbish that was about to be played down the waves of radio stations all over, i mean come on they were Ok when they were younger and the songs were Kind of Excellent so...

Advantages: Clever lyrics, deft guitar solos. Disadvantages: Nasal whine may be off putting for some
...Here we go with another "Oldie but Goodie" review.
The Only Ones were born of the punk era, that is around the mid seventies, but they were far from a punk band. For a start their drummer was an ex-member of Spooky Tooth (you can't get less punk that that!!)
They released a single, "Lovers of Today" b/w "Peter and the Pets" on their own label without anyone taking much notice, except the NME. It wasn't until their next single that they created some sort of a stir. This was released on CBS and was "Another Girl, Another Planet". A beautifully crafted three minute piece of pop perfection.
After a few changes in personnel, they finally settled on a four piece:- Peter Perrett (guitar/vocals/ keyboards), John Perry (guitar/keyboards), Alan Mair (bass) and Mike Kellie (drums). Perrett did most of the writing especially the lyrics...
