...The last UK album release for Peter Andre was the 2002 "Very Best Of" collection. With all the hype and criticism about Peter's mixed fortunes over his 11 year recording career, it's easy for people to ignore the fact that while the material may not always be top notch, the man has a great voice. The aptly titled "The Long Road Back" contains a mixture of styles and Peter works with a variety of other writers. Musically, it's a combination of his previous albums - some songs sound like out-takes from his debut 1993 album "Peter Andre", while others have an R 'n' B/pop/disco feel, much like the material on "Natural" (1996) and "Time" (1997). He's not afraid to let his influences shine through either, with yet another cover of a Kool And The Gang song and Michael Jackson-style vocals. The themes (predictably) are mainly love and party... Katie and Peter Andre---Lovebirds at work!

Advantages: Skip to 'I've Had The Time Of My Life'
Disadvantages: Katie goes off key a few times but does make up for it in other songs

...Some people have slagged and slated Katie and Peter Andre's voice's but if you don't like them then don't listen-simple! I have listened to this album over and over again and I am yet to find anything wrong with it. I first heard their first song 'A Whole New World' on the radio and I fell in love with it straight away. But then when I went home and saw the video to it, I was in complete shock! It was bloody fantastic! It was classy, stylish and sort of the story of how they met. I was given this album as a gift so I dont know the exact price for it, but, I would recommend you go to HMV or somewhere like that as that is probably where you would get it for a reasonable price.... Review of Villa-Lobos: Piano Works by  Benj

Advantages: Hugely enjoyable music, fresh and free of pretence
Disadvantages: Unfamiliarity?

...Brazil’s most celebrated classical composer wrote some two hundred works for piano, many of which sadly languish in the wilderness. This disc will do much to advocate his appealing musical personality. The collection begins with the suite “As Tres Marias,” a trio of movements lasting barely three minutes. Based on the stars of Orion’s belt, it is one of Villa-Lobos’ most popular pieces, here played with great panache by the Canadian virtuoso Marc-Andre Hamelin. The closing Rudepoema, a fiercesome score from the 1920s dedicated to Arthur Rubinstein, paints a completely different sound picture. It’s a concentrated work, powerful and uncompromising, and perhaps surprisingly it delves into the world of polytonality as realised by Milhaud in the same decade.
