Advantages: Improved vocals (due to change in line up) Disadvantages: Few cover tracks
give more of an indication to the ladies voices and own unique sound. For instance Heidi sings a very slow verse towards the end of the song, Mutya's lyrics just seem to be sublime & her voice just compliments the lyrics and finally Keisha just has an incredible voice period.
4. Stronger
I really like the beat to this track and has a much more serious tone to the song. This song i think has a very strong message which is that having belief in yourself can be a source of empowerment.
5. Supernatural
More of an upbeat song and really funky beat to it. This song always makes me want to dance and just have fun. The music attracted me more compared to the words as it just has some quirkyness to it.
6. Angels with dirtyfaces
The video of this feature the powerpuff girls, i think that they were featured as a result of a film. The video ...
Advantages: a lot of catchy funky tracks, the girls' voices Disadvantages: a couple of not-so-good tracks
-launched themselves on the chart. And their album "Angels With DirtyFaces" is still, in my opinion, their best.

BEST TRACKS
"Freak Like Me"
This Richard x produced tune brought the 'Babes seemingly back from the dead and it's easy to see why. Mixing the lyrics of the classic Adina Howard track "Freak Like Me" with a Gary Numan sample sounds like a risk, but it pays off and the track is fantastic, whether you want to dance to it, sing along, or just lie back and listen.
"Blue"
This song has a funky garage style beat, although the tune is probably a little too jittery to be able to dance to easily. I love this song as it is unbelievably catchy, particularly the chorus. The lyrics are fairly bitter - they seem to be dissing someone for being two faced and using them because of their fame. That's my ...
Advantages: Good mix of sound Disadvantages: some dodgy tracks
When this band first appeared on the scene their music and their looks did nothing to grab my attention - I had never seen such strange looking girls in all my life - Siobhan was a very plain Jane, Mutya was strangely oriental and Keisha was probably the best of all and that was saying something - and the music wasn't too wonderful either.
Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Beuna and Keisha Buchanan were the original members of the Sugababes. Siobhan left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Liverpudlian Heidi Range who was much easier on the eye and whose voice complimented the girls perfectly.
In August 2002 the new line up released their first album "Angels With DirtyFaces" and it reached a high spot of No.2 in the album charts.
The band appeared to have undergone a makeover - one which was very much needed - although this is no way ...

Album Notes
Personnel includes: Tricky, Martina, PJ Harvey (vocals); Marc Ribot (guitar). It's hard to label this unique artist. This album reflects his roots and influences in hip-hop, Gospel, dub and rock without the extensive use of samples. In line with his development as an artist, Tricky is concentrating on working with musicians instead of loops. "Money Greedy" is a fast-paced, industrial-sounding track with laid-back, eerie vocals. "Broken Homes," features the unmistakable vocal style of PJ Harvey alongside Tricky. The songs on the album vary dramatically in terms of style, tempo and texture. From trip-hop to drum-and-bass, Tricky is truly one of the most talented artists, whose unique vision pushes the envelope of creativity time after time. Others songs worthy of note are "6 Minutes," "Mellow," with it's moody, dark arrangement and "Singing the Blues," with Martina on vocals.
Album Reviews
The Source (7/98, p.168) - "...[Tricky] adds another chapter to his strange, post-modern blues trip with the spellbinding ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES....The music twists into horrific rhythmic and musical patterns unlike anything your ears have experienced..." Vibe (6-7/98, p.166) - "...a flat-out blues album that, with a sound as modern as the most advanced hip hop, succeeds in consolidating his position as a music maverick..." Spin (7/98, pp.119-121) - 8 (out of 10) - "...Rather than the lush digital soundscapes of MAXINQUAYE or the shimmering desolation of PRE-MILLENIUM TENSION, ANGELS resounds with cellos, tremolo guitars and bass clarinets, as well as the usual electo-wheezes and shuddering bass loops...." Entertainment Weekly (6/5/98, p.81) - "...ANGELS retains the same woozy, hypnotic trance of his earlier work....But the record also feels more adventurous, rhythmically and musically, than its predecessors....It's his mix of the quiet and the disquieting, a balance he's again preserved on this alluring sonic blur." - Rating: A
