If you can't visit the shop then I know that John does mail order, Call 01603 764004 It was one of my carp fishing buddoes that got me in to Avenue Angling. The way carp fishing was going had meant that carp super markets were being opened up just like Angling Direct. The personal touch was missing and it was impossible to obtain help and advice from knowledgeable anglers, instead you get served by YTS Saturday boys that don't know the difference between a boilie and a bivvy. It is good that all products are on display in that it is possible to see the size of the bivvy and what it looks like when it is set up, feel how heavy the rod is before... Read review

...Kurt Angle; Kurt Angle - here is a man who is reknown for winning championships; whether they be Olympic Championships or World Wrestling Federation Championship Kurt Angle is the man who efies all odds and get these championships! It all started in Atlanta; the summer of 1996 was the time; Atlanta was the venue that Kurt Angle tryed out for the Olympics; despite breaking his neck and with it not 100 percent healed he attempted to win the tryouts with only a week of tryouts - but he won! and the rest is history! Kurt went on to win the Olympic Gold Medal in Atlanta! the only man in American history to do this in his weight class! that is a true honour to a great athlete! Then he became a WWF Superstar; a series of vignettes aired before his first appearance to hype him up; he did not recieve a rousing ovation to say the least... Read review

...Overview ------------- I bought the EF 17-40 f4 L about 3 years ago in order to take urban landcape pictures, as buildings often don't fit into a 28mm "frame". This optic is the widest in the f4 constant aperture series of zoom lenses in the trio that includes the 24-105 super-zoom and the 70-200 telephoto, all of which I now own. At the time, I owned a 20D body and the 17-40 was my first L Series purchase as the 1.6 crop factor on the sensor meant that you had to go for a super-wide angle lens to get even moderate wide angle shots (17mm becomes 27mm on an APS sensor). Now I own a 5D body and can make full use of the extraordinary wide angle of view this lens can provide. Being a standard EF mount (not EF-S), this lens can be used on all the Canon bodies. My friend had an EF-S 10-22mm but this became redundant when he upgraded... Read review
