Angola 80's - Various Artists

Advantages: Fantastic Collection, Really good variety of cheesy pop classics!
Disadvantages: Can't think of any, I love these CD's!!!

...Wow! This CD describes itself as the ultimate 80's party experience, well ........... it certainly lives up to it! The 3 CD set is packed with my favourite songs from the 80's and others that I had forgotten about!!! The CD has been produced in conjunction with Reflex 80's bar (which just happens to me by favourite chain of bar!) so I knew that I was probably going to love this CD collection. Such poptastic classics as Europe - The Final Countdown, Jason Donovan - Too Many Broken Hearts, Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now, Wham - Club Tropicana, Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger, Communards - Don't Leave Me This Way and many many more feature on these CD's. Advantages: An inexpensive compilation featuring classic tracks.
Disadvantages: You may already have some of the many tracks.

...As I had already purchased the 60's & 70's version of this compilation and found it not only good to use to set questions for music quizzes but also good to listen to, I decided to buy this set when I saw it in the shops. At a price of £19.95 but this time for only 8 CDs with less tracks it does not represent as good value if you simply compare the price/number of tracks ratio. However the overall quality and choice of songs makes it at least equal in value to its forerunner. Again many classic tracks (all original recordings) are featured and amongst the artistes are Kim Wilde, Culture Club, Blondie, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran,Eddie Grant, Kate Bush and Dr. Hook to name but a few.... ...This is one of the first compilation CD's I ever bought. At the time I thought it was fantastic, but over the years I've seemed to have grown a little sick of some of the songs. If anyone remembers the days of Shaggy and Oh Carolina, well, you'll like this compilation as it's full of old songs like that, (and that song sure does bring abck quite a few memories!) Artists include: Reel 2 Reel, Haddaway, M People, Aswad, Sister Sledge, Shaggy, Robin S, 2 Unlimited, Capella, Prodigy, The Shamen, Snap, Seal, S'Express and Black Box.... As you can tell by some of the above names, most of them are the oldies! Brilliant to keep for 'old time sakes'.... Read review
