..., however John Lennon said 'He must be f**king mad, putting three records out.' However, the album was a success, moving to number one in both the US and the UK. George enlisted the help of Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Klaus Voorman, Billy Preston, Jim Gordon, Bobby Whitlock, Gary Brooker, Bobby Keyes, members of Badfinger, and a sixteen year old unknown boy with the name Phil Collins, to sit in as session musicians. The album was released in 1970.

For AC/DC Fans Review ofVery Best Of Brian Johnson And Geordie, The - Geordieby
nicks
Advantages: Interesting For AC/DC Fans Disadvantages: Dated now
...other Geordie classics like "Black Cat Woman", "Geordie Stomp" and "Francis Was a Rocker".
For the record, the Geordie discography (as far as I can tell) is: "Hope You Like It (1973)", "Don't Be Fooled By The Name (1974)", "Masters Of Rock (1974)" and "Save The World (1976)".
"A Band From Geordieland (1996)" was another compilation, featuring the whole of "Save The World" as well as all the singles (A and B-sides).
Brian Johnson released two solo albums in 1976, "... And Geordie" (which apparently contained reworkings of Geordie songs), and "Strange Man". I have the second of these, and guess what - it contains reworkings of Geordie songs. I'll get to the bottom of this yet.
So, more money wasted for the sake of two tracks. Well, it was cheap....

Next up, it's R&B the way it used to be with 'Same Old Song and Dance' taken from 1974's 'Get Your Wings'. In a total contrast to Dream On, Tyler sings low and dirty, the guitar riff is simple (hell, even I can play it!) and the rhythm section drives the song like a freight train. Oh yeah this is boogie!
Sweet Emotion is the first song on the album that might be recognisable to those without an interest in early Aerosmith, as it was re-released in the late 90's. Taken from the brilliant 1976 album 'Toys in the Attic'. Starting with a gentle bass line it builds into a half rapped verse with funky...
