Animosity - Berzerker (The)

Advantages: Faster and Harder than anything you've heard
Disadvantages: Not for the feint hearted

...A hard band to plug into a genre simply because the genre that The Berzerker fit into has been called many things over the years. Speed metal now means something completely different. Gore metal has never sat well with me as a genre. Death metal is just too different to what this is. So really you have to sit with the "core genres" I guess. Berzerker will no doubt come under speedcore. The problem with these genres changing so often is that its hard to recommend a band on what genre it is if its going to change in a few months time. So to this end, The Berzerker are a genre unto themselves. For those who need a genre to it, try thinking of gabber metal (The Berzerker as a solo project used to be a gabber DJ) mixxed with speedcore and more samples than you can shake a rather large stick at. ...WELL! After recent viewing of Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, I rather took to Preston, that is Sam Preston of Ordinary Boys fame. He seemed a little like your boy next door type, quiet and unassuming in most instances.. and until I heard Boys Will Be Boys (the current single) I was under the impression that the band would be of that calibre too, middle of the road, nice-boy indie band. Just goes to show how wrong one can be doesn't it? It seems that Sam Preston takes on an alternate personality during performance, judging by what I saw on Q last week. Hell no, these guys are raw, ska-esque, British Rock n Roll. Like many bands of the moment (i.e Kaiser Chiefs), The Ordinary Boys have merged traditional Rock n Roll and Punk, into an altogether new sound. ...PROMOTION I'm sorry I got it in for your girlfriend America has always been about living the dream, apparently. One artist who certainly is living that American dream right now is, The-Dream, who you have probably heard me mentioning a lot lately. That's because this guy, born Terius Nash, has been garnering the reputation of Timbaland for his production and praise for writing like Ne-Yo.
