Tim Vine Live

Advantages: Genius, fast-paced comedy
Disadvantages: Disadvantages?!

Released in 2004, Tim Vine ? exquisitely entitled ?The Man With The Golden Pun? by The Independent newspaper ? Holds the Guinness World Record for telling the most jokes in an hour ? apparently it?s 499!! Of course, what constitutes a ?joke? would theoretically be something to make someone laugh?here on his first ever live DVD stand-up, which includes 377 jokes, he certainly does that. Stood in front of an audience surely no more than a 100, on a small stage whilst pouring with sweat, he reels off joke after joke after joke after joke?predominantly one-liners that can be cringe-worthy at times. But the majority of the time, after a couple of seconds you?ll laugh. That?s the genius of the man?by the time you?ve ?got? a joke, he?ll be half way through the next. Hence, you can?t just watch this DVD once! He splits up his session ...

Lazy Girl's Guide to Green Living

Advantages: Some tips I hadn't heard before
Disadvantages: Repitition in chapters, overpriced, information could be obtained for free elsewhere.

I just finished reading this book last night so I thought it would be good to review it. Firstly, let me start by stating that the book retails at £7.99, although I got mine from ipoints by cashing in. Firstly, I feel that £7.99 is a bit pricey for this book, mostly because it is less then 200 pages long. The book basically describes easy ways to 'live green' designed for the lazy girl. By lazy girl I took this to mean someone who isn't going to be buying land and planting trees everytime they drive a car, which I think is correct as this is basically a book which details ways to live green without really having to change your life much. I was slightly dissapointed because most of the tips and tricks contained in the book were ones that I was aware of anyway. For example don't leave appliances on standby, walk don't drive etc. There ...

Anita and Me

Advantages: very simple concept, pointless nostalgia
Disadvantages: concept becomes boring quite quickly

’t match what your opponent has said, and are therefore definitely not the card that they hold. The idea is to skilfully ask your questions eliminating as many people as possible as quickly as you can to be left with only one panel, which in theory should be the same one as your opponent has on their card. The winner is the person to get the correct answer first. Simple, eh? Many of the characters depicted on the cards were a little scary. Big lipped Susan looked like an albino Joan Rivers, whilst Alfred looked like the bastard offspring of a Saxon warrior and your school caretaker. Also, for some reason unexplained by science or logic, you always seemed to pick Anita from the card-pack. However, the makers had cleverly made each one different, so that there was always a question that would separate any two cards, even if it was ...
