My sister N and I made the decision over the weekend to go to the cinema on Tuesday night, as it was Bargain Tuesday and only £4 a ticket. When my mate S rang and told me she was back from London for the night, I invited her along too. So we all went to Cineworld Ashford to watch Just My Luck, a film that I have been looking forward to seeing for a fair while, as I think Lindsey Lohan is brilliant. N wanted to see it because she is a big fan of McFly who also feature in the film. S wanted to see it because she wanted something cheesy.
So the plot?? well, La Lohan plays Ashley Albright, a girl who seems to get everything she wants just by sheer luck. She just happens to be a bit gorgeous, and therefore gets every male she wants. Every time she walks out of her building it stops raining and she has a fabulous job in PR and just happens ...

Just my luck was a film that I received as a present, I hadn?t seen it at the cinema and I hadn?t really heard anything about it until I unwrapped it. However, on first impression, it did appeal to me and it seemed like it would be my kind of film, I love chick flicks and after reading the back of the DVD case, this looked to be one. I also saw that it has Lindsay Lohan in, another good sign as she is one of my favourite actresses, having been in films that I love such as Mean Girls and Freaky Friday. I also saw that it had McFly in, starring as themselves and was glad as I had obviously heard of them and quite like some of their songs, although it was a while ago when they were really famous here.
The plot isn?t too overused, which is good because I find it boring when in teen movies they use the same plot again in different films ...

I have to say, the first thing that attracted me to this movie was the fact that Jessica Alba was in it. No, I don?t like girls but I do think she is quite pretty and was interested to see her in this film. I had heard a bit about it when it came out but didn?t really know much about it.
It is classified as a romantic comedy, another reason why I wanted to see it as I love ?Chick Flicks? and was released in 2007. The title character Chuck is something of a good luck charm and it seems to conclude that after a woman sleeps with him, the next guy she meets will be her one true love and they will end up marrying and living happily ever after. I think it is a bit of a stretch for a plot as to me it didn?t really seem believable but I guess that was the premise of the film anyway. Chuck refuses to believe this ...
