getting off to a fine start withThe Chillout Sessions, which spawned a plethora of imitations, some good, some bad. It seems the years of larging it had finally taken their toll on clubbers, who went in search of something a bit more calming and, well, chilled. The Ministry of Sound round off 2001 withThe Chillout Annual 2002, a downbeat companion to their traditional clubber's bible,The Annual 2002. All the big names in the genre are present--Groove Armada, Zero 7, Lemon Jelly, Blue States, Kinobe, Nightmares on Wax and Bent, as well as down-tempo numbers from those normally associated with more up-tempo fare, such as Chemical Brothers, Faithless and Underworld. There are even the seemingly essential couple of token indie tracks from Badly Drawn Boy and Radiohead, which to be honest aren't really that welcome, but don't detract from proceedings that much. --Helen Marquis

Now, I know this is the Spring 2002 edition of The Annual by Ministry of Sound but these tunes are still heard and some are still in the top 40!
So if you want to be hip, you want to live the summer you’ve dreamed of this last winter then buy this, relax, chillout, enjoy and go wild.
One tune I recommend a listen to is track 5 on disc 2 by Future Breeze ~ Temple of Dreams.
At first this tune has a way of settling your nerves and chilling you out, but soon after this the tune goes deeper and pulls you up. You end up throwing your arms to the beat and dancing as crazy as you can!
The only thing that lets down this amazing CD/Album is the problem with Disc1. It’s debateable, depending on what your into, but in my eye’s and ears, I think ...

I got this album for christmas and was unsure whether i would like it as i normally get clubland cds. I am very into my dance music and do buy alot of these cds.
With the boxset you get 2 cd's and a DVD of Music videos which is original and i beleive you can only get this with the annual cd's. Unfortunatly it doesn't seem to have that many tracks on it for a big boxset and frankly most of them i haven't heard of but im up for new music!! It all depends on what type of music you like but it seems to me that they have crammed all the good tunes at the beggining of the cd which doent make me want to listen to the rest, im always skipping tracks!! But its very beaty good to dance i suppose good backround music but not party music.

Yet again, another amazing Annual from the Ministry of Sound. 54 outstanding tracks from a variety of artists all jam-packed into one annual. This Annual consists of tracks recently or throughout the year and put into a album for people to reflect on in the next year. Such tracks as Sanim - Heater had recently been released and made it's way onto the Annual because of it's excellence.
