Advantages: Inspirational for metalheads, great vocals, great lyrics, etc Disadvantages: none
The First time I was introduced to Arch Enemy was on the television show Uranium on Fuse, back when Metal Mistress Juliya was there, and they seemed to somewhat care about heavy metal. Juliya was doing a feature on different women in metal and the present lead singer for the death metal band Arch Enemy, Angela Gossow was one of the people interviewed. I also got the chance to hear the song "We Will Rise".
The song We will ... ...songs on the album itself. The meaning is quite self explanatory. It's about metalheads rising about mainstream music such as pop, rap, hip hop and so on. Other popular songs on the album are Leader of the Rats and Dead Eyes See no Future. I strongly recommend metalhead to listen to those two.
TRACK LIST:
1. "Tear Down the Walls (Intro)"
2. "Silent Wars"
3. "We Will Rise" ... more

The song We will Rise is very motivational just like the rest of the songs on the album itself. The meaning is quite self explanatory. It's about metalheads rising about mainstream music such as pop, rap, hip hop and so on. Other popular songs on the album are Leader of the Rats and Dead Eyes See no Future. Listening to this band can be very inspiring even for heavy metal bands and singers just starting out, Angela Gossow, the vocalist especially for women. I strongly recommend that this album be bought. It's on my list of one of the most metal albums in years.
Advantages: a strong metal album Disadvantages: none
Arch Enemy's 2003 release 'Anthems of Rebellion' was the album that initially got me interested in them after hearing the amazing single, and third track on the album, 'We Will Rise'.
Angela Gossow's roaring vocals carry the songs boldly and competently and the twin guitars of brothers Christopher and Michael Amott are truly amazing. Solid bass lines are provided by Sharlee D'Angelo with Daniel Erlandsson doing a sterling job on drums.
The album ... ...carries on all the way through to the end. There is a brief reprise from the crushing guitars in the form of tracks 'Marching on a Dead End Road' and 'Anthem' allowing Christopher Amott and Michael Amott respectively their own chances to shine in their own short instrumental tracks.
This album is a must have for all metallers and at thirteen tracks it's definitely value for money. ...

Advantages: Fantastic Album Disadvantages: Not as heavy as previous albums
After the recent album "Anthems of Rebellion", ArchEnemy's music became classifed as "main steam metal" which to me was an insult as the band I believe to be very inspiring as well as brutal yet melodic were not giving their full potential on the previous album. However, back with the music that brought them here to the fame in the underground metal scene, they have balanced brutal music with melodic riffs and amazing solos, which outdo any metal band on the scene.
Songs such as "Nemesis", "Skeleton Dance", "Taking back my soul" and "Slaves of yesterday" truly show this bands true potential without any compramises. With songs such as "Hybrids of Steel" showing the melodic skills from the Amott brothers, gives the listeners an experience like none other.
For fans who are interested in bands such as Children of Bodom, In Flames ...
Advantages: Fantstic guitars , great vocals , everything fits together Disadvantages: some songs are repetive , too long and out of place
Here we have one of the most successful Swedish death metal bands, shown here on the verge of their mainstream metal breakthrough.
Personally doomsday machine is my favourite archenemy album, it gets the balance right between power and creativity and doesn't bore the listener. Some of the riffs on this album are fantastic and very original, the solos are very good, and the first time I heard the vocals I could not believe such a sound could come from a woman!
Needless to say I was very impressed with this album, after listening to wages of sin, and anthems of rebellion, doomsday machine is quite clearly the peak of ArchEnemy's stand out sound.
Stand out tracks (for good an bad reasons)
