Advantages: pure funk. Disadvantages: erm... ... I couldn't get the inlay out of the case. I think that's more my problem though.
...Jamiroquai's 'A Funk Odyssey' - it does exactly what it says on the tin.
1. Feel So Good - Although it opens with an ominous windy sound, this track is exactly what we've come to expect from Jamiroquai; pure funk and acid jazz, only this time with no deep-rooted meaning. A no-brainer foot stomper this is, with a big bassline and a little funky guitar riff which (I think) is the sample referred to in the booklet. A definite contender for the next single, and one of the standout tracks on this immense album.
Funk-o-meter: *****
2. Little L - The first single to be released off the album, so you probably all know it. Once again a nice build up at the start, another driving bassline and you just can't resist shaking your ass to this one. I'm pretty sure this is about an ex-girlfriend, but of JK or Smith (Track 9 is the only one JK...

...WWE: Anthology contains previously unreleased entrance themes as well as the ones they still use today. Producers include: James A. Johnston, Jimmi Hart, JJ Maguire, Rick Derringer, Keny Bernhard. Includes liner notes made by Jim Johnston. Professional wrestling as a form of entertainment has elements that no other sport captures whatsoever! Part soap opera, some parts macho posturing, battles of good and evil are played out for the indulgence of fans as the athletes are raised up to superstardom. In progressive fashion, even ring announcers are stepping up to the microphone; not to comment on matches, but to sing (Lilian Garcia is now...

Advantages: Spaced out Funk Disadvantages: None that I can see
...George Cliniton is a genius nothing more and nothing less. From his work with Parlament through to P-Funk he has always pushed back the boundaries. He has influenced everyone from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Dr Dre and Prince. When a lot of artists get old the quality of their music goes down George Clinton has countered this by always being old (in my eyes anyway).
Musically the best way to describe the album is completley laid back psychadelic funk. If you like the sounds Dr Dre lays down on his solo stuff then you will love this, guess where Dr Dre took his blueprint from.
The first track (if anybody gets funked up(its gonna be you)) is a great peice of work with repetative trancy background female vocals creating a hypnotic effect, contrasted by a deep male vocal that just totally chills you out. The bass sends chills down...
