Advantages: My girlfriend hates them also Disadvantages: Males become 'jealous'. Hmmm
...This is a bit strange isn't it? From hoary old pub rockers to 'the sexiest band in rock'? Truly strange shit is occurring here...
All told, the only fun to be had with Reef is divining new definitions for Gary Sringer's 'unique' (in the human kingdom) voice. Um.... a walrus being violently flagellated by a moose's antlers? Er... let me see... two bulldogs rutting? Throat cancer in pig? Truly, it's worth defining.
Only sexy if you enjoy finding hair in your food, Reef fucking drip with testostreone, which, as any fule no, IS AN EVIL DRUG. Go shave Reef, go die as well....

Advantages: Leap-a-rounable to! Disadvantages: Under 35 minutes!
...being thrashier/quicker and it makes a nice addition even if it is so short!
10 - Stalemate - Another poppy sounding track with a sing-a-long chorus, certainly not a track that stands out.
11 - Mooseman's jukebox - second best track on the album in my opinion, definitely one of those to get the crowd jumping, about "Kingwood days" which one assumes is where the name of the album came from.
12 - Hard times - drum intro, guitar picks up and off we go for the final track of a very enjoyable album
COVER/INLAY
The CD comes as a cardboard folder that opens out left and right with the CD in the middle. On the front of the album is a guy (Nikola) with moose antlers on his head and the rest of the band posing with guns - a cute cartoon which continues inside with each band member posing, 2 on the left fold out, 2 on the right. The album notes...

Advantages: Return to top form for the Swedish four-piece. Disadvantages: Not as good as Pennybridge Pioneers, but that's impossible really.
...pounding drumbeat with a simple but effective guitar riff. Hard Times is a good ending track; it wouldn't fit well in the middle of the album, or the beginning of it, as it is hard to follow this track. Another serious one, it has the ability to make you tap your fingers/feet along to it without being confused by the drumbeat or riff. Great song.
10/10
Album Artwork
--------------------
The front cover of the album has a definite hunting theme, with 3 members of the band dressed up in hunting outfits with guns and with Nikola as a proud stag with antlers. I'm not really sure what it's trying to convey, but it's interesting nonetheless.
Conclusion
----------------
A great album from the band. It can't match the sheer genius of Pennybridge Pioneers (by far their finest moment) but it is the closest thing to it out of all their other albums...
