The opinion I am writing about is Gloria Estefans, "Anything For You". I like this song because it was my first special song for me and my first girlfriend Gill when I was 15.
We listened to it a lot during that year it was sort of an incentitive to keep talking and loving each other.
I bought this song because I wanted to remember her for we broke up a year later. We drifted apart and ran out of things to say to each other, in other words ironically we stopped talking funny hey how things work out.
I moved away to look after my alcoholic grandad with my mum and dad and well.... It was too far away from her so she finished with me :-(..
It's the type of song that reminds you of the good old days. Sort of like a walk down memory lane. When I saw this song listed on Ciao I knew I had to write about it.
My days of Jill are over but hey, life goes on. I just had to buy this song for memories sake.
This song brings back memories of these precious times in my life everytime I listen to it.
It rocks, listen to it now! lol (getting carried away there).....
Gloria Estefan is in my opinion my favourite secular artist I rate her as the queen of Latin pop.
So diverse is she in her ability to perform she was and still is a fine actress, singer and song writer. Gloria Estefan came into the world in 1957 on September the 1st in the Cuba city of Havana. Her full name is Gloria Maria Milagrosa Fajarda. I didn't know this before I started to write this review for Ciao.
Gloria was raised in Miami and became a member of the Miami sound team which gained a huge fan base there, and one of the best songs to come out of that era in my opinion is "Anything For You" and her first album is "Let It Loose" which has this song on too.
The lyrics to "Anything For You" are sublime, but sad if you have broke up with a person you thought it was right with.
It also is an incentitive to never say goodbye because of the loss that causes. Anyway this is a timeless piece of music that wil be played forever by those who love her and for the effect she had on their lives.
This song is available in Spanish or English for all you Spanish on cd single or as I have said earlier on the "Let It Loose" album which is on cd too.
This song costs from 99p on vynal on ebay and other places if you still have a record player (crackle crackle) lol no offense to any retro people who can't listen to anything else.
As for the cd single I am not sure of the price but, you can get the song on "Let It Loose" or "Greatest Hits Volume 1".
This song is great value for money because you will never stop playing it once you have got it it is so catchy it rings in your ears, in a good way of course!
I think the type of people who would like this song are lovers and maried couples who want to stay together forever from Gloria's lyrics for it is hard to pass on the street when you have indeed said goodbye.
This song is a pure original because no one else would make it sound quite like Gloria does also this tune has shelf life of eternity you will just want more and more of its flavour.
This song is better in my opinion than Gloria Estefan's other releases
The reason I would recommend this to potential buyers is because you will grow to love this timeless piece of art by a lady who knows and believes in what she sings. ....truely sublime.....
