Advantages: Get to Know Evanescence, Back Stage Footage, Bloopers etc! Disadvantages: Lack of New Material (if you are an avid fan and already know all the songs)
When I first heard Evanescence were releasing a DVD, I was very excited. I had hopes of seeing new videos, hearing new material, and most of all seeing what the real Evanescence was really like.
When it came out, I was a bit disappointed at the lack of new songs. However, the actual live performance given on the DVD, and the behind the scenes footage more than made up for this. Watching the DVD gives you a fan's perspective - seeing the Live in Paris concert - and you also get a perspective of being in the same room as them. Just watch the scene with the hamburger baseball! Plus Ev do a really awesome cover of a Korn song called Thoughtless, it's worth buying this DVD just to hear it.

Advantages: Evanescence fans can experience that band live, bonus track Disadvantages: Audio recording is weak in places
the first verse as the drum beat starts and the guitar gathers pace. A pause and a beeping noise, and the guitar kicks in again - louder this time as the chorus is played and the crowd screams louder with delight.
This live CD and DVD set can be seen in two ways. If you're a die-hard Evanescence fan, it's a great way to experience the band live. If you just like the music, however, you may find the live recording isn't as impressive as the studio album, Fallen, since it isn't quite as polished and Lee's voice isn't perfect in places - sometimes barely picked up by the microphone. One thing that may disappoint all is that it's obvious that the band are playing to a backing track - at least the instruments such as violins or the choir heard in some places can't been seen anywhere on stage!

This is a brilliant DVD showing the band on tour and offering a documentary about life on the road with the band. There is at least one hidden video as well, so it's a treat to find!
Amy lee has one of the best voices i've ever heard, only second to Eva Cassidy. She never fails to hit those high notes, which trust me and very hard to reach!! The band are amazing live and sound even better than the recorded albums. I would have liked to have heard more of the stuff off their album Origin, but there are a few songs from it chucked in. Also a brilliant rendition of the Korn song 'Thoughtless', a bit slowed down and sung in a haunting way. This is a brilliant DVD, a must for all Evanescence and rock fans. ...
