Additional notes
Album Notes: Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson's debut album is a collection of songs originally recorded by Tom Waits, alongside one original number ('Song For Jo'). Produced by TV On The Radio member Dave Sitek, 'Anywhere I Lay My Head' features such Waits standards as 'I Don't Want To Grow Up' and 'Who Are You?'. David Bowie contributes vocals on two tracks, and Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs also features playing guitar on several songs, making this a star-studded first outing from the screen star.
Advantages: Emotive and groundbreaking pieces. Disadvantages: They could have done more with the cover-art.
....
Maybe it's because I love you too much
I feel awful to have reviewed two things and given both five stars but this deserves it. I have so many movie soundtracks in my collection and this has beaten every single one. I realise I am probably quite biased because of Keira but I feel that so many actresses are mediocre singers but are being praised as the next best thing (ahem...ScarlettJohansson) and none of them come close to Keira. Despite my glowing report I have but one disadvantage, and that is the cover-art. I live my life through downloads so I unfortunately cannot review the entire art booklet but the front is very bland. No denying that it is a beautiful picture of both Keira and Sienna but just not enough.
Apart from the mediocre cover-design the soundtrack is not to be missed out on and I would urge everyone to, at the very least...

2. Don't Leave Me, also taken from the band's fourth album. This time, it's Mark's turn to provide vocals. I quite enjoyed this track on Enema of the State, but Mark's feeble attempt to change the melody didn't do the song any favours. This song was also played too quickly, and the guitar chords and riffs were sloppy. However, Travis Barker's drumming was faultless, so I would rate this song 8/10.
At the end of this song, we meet a 'very special guest'. A biblical character with a love for children. Hint- it's not the Virgin Mary. Not suitable for children, and is offensive to those of a religious persuasion.
3. Alien's Exist. Yet another song from Enema of the State, this song is one of my favourites. Tom DeLonge wrote this song about the hassle he received at school, because he believed in aliens. Here, we are treated to an attempt...

Advantages: New sound from Tom Delonge Disadvantages: No truly unique songs on the album, all similar styles and sounds
...in the verses. Explains a new start in life "life's waiting to begin". Slower interlude which leads to the end, but enjoyable.
A Little's Enough: Nice keyboard intro, as Tom enters with slow vocals for the verse, the break between the first two verses is very 'Box Caresque'. Once the chorus kicks in it's very catchy, and there's a large emphasis on the drums.
The War: My favourite off of the album, starts off quite light before power chords kick in, very similar to Take Off Your Pants and Jacket style Blink 182. This song describes a war scene and the horrors of war, however it isn't simply about Iraq, but also about the situation between him and Mark/Travis ("Please, do I want this?"). In the strong chorus you can hear his emotion having a brother in Iraq, as he yells "why don't you tell that it's almost over? Why must this tear myhead inside out...
